I'm from Newcastle and I was up at the weekend for St Mirren game. We were staying in the cheap ibis budget by Springfield Quay and the nearest bar was the Quayside on West Paisley Road where we spent most of our weekend. Anyway, someone in the pub briefly mentioned that a supporters bus runs to the ground and back on matchday from there. Can anyone confirm this? The reason being is that I enjoyed myself so much I've booked a train, hotel and match ticket again for next weekend v Dundee but I'm coming up on my own and was wondering if I'd be able to jump on the bus from the Quayside.

We usually get a good sing-along going in the Park bar, albeit for the smaller games the atmosphere isn't as good.
Head in, i'll buy you a pint.
Kilmarnock in September. I'll make sure to pop into the Park bar for two or a few, I'll have my half Newcastle, half Rangers scarf on if you want to buy me that pint
Really looking forward to coming up now like, just hope this weekend goes well against the unwashed.

Paisley Road is good, not too far from Ibrox, the Grapes, Louden, District and Blue Star are all pretty close together

Yes bombscare defending. I know you wanna make a good suggestion, but this guy, for me, is rank rotten. He couldn't make it at Newcastle, and he was calamitous against England. I know England have very good players, but Gooch had a nightmare in this game, and thus with the times I've seen him on English soil I'd have to say he's not got the qualities we are looking for.
It's impossible to judge a defender on his time at Newcastle. The club are an absolute shambles in the defensive department and have been for the past 4 or 5 seasons.
I also watched the England game and i admit, he wasnt too impressive but ive seen him plenty of times and i know he's much better than that.
Even Coloccini managed to look dodgy for a spell on Sunday!
As a Newcastle fan, I can honestly say that Gooch was terrible. He's not as good as Bougherra in my opinion. Also, I thought Coloccini was solid on Sunday.

Areet lads. I'm a Newcastle fan coming up for my first Rangers game next month. Met a couple of Rangers fans on holiday and they have shown me the way.
I was just wondering, what pubs would you recommend going to pre/post match?

Cheers for your help lads. I think I'll pop in on the Friday for a few and ask around. If there is a bus on then that'd be perfect for me, even if they do leave early.
