  1. John Beaton should never be allowed to referee at Ibrox again, not to mention the obvious points but they're players got away with murder ie persistent fouling, it's not going to change until we get full time refs who are committed or foreign refs even if they're from England I'd be happier with that than at the moment! It happens far too often now for it to be a one off incident now not saying they are conspiring against rangers and all that rubbish but they're either not clued up enough on the rules or feel they are performing well that nothing is getting done. Spoke to someone who manages an under 15s team and he mentioned that once or twice beaton made himself available to help out and even still he was a terrible ref at a kids game! this is coming from a celtic fan as well!!!!

  2. Would rather play jack thought at times he ran about like a headless chicken in midfield jack seems to have a better positional sense and covers in where others leave spaces but against dunfermline wasnt going to be an issue anyway

  3. Best thing to do would be to loan him out for 6 months or so if he plays him in the league or the cups and the team have a shocker then people will be quick to point the finger at pedro and start the pedro out campaign again! Very slight player no doubting the talent though

Pedro Mendes, Stevie Davis, Jelavic, Naismith, Cuellar...will I go on? Doing it in one-off games is a far cry from competing in a title.Brian Clough always regarded his league title wins higher than any other achievement, because they were, according to him, a test of a whole club, not just the playing staff. We have players who can play now and again, we do not have a squad, or a club, at this moment in time, to win a league. That is important for me to say, because as I've said before, the real implication of this criticism of Warburton is that we are not challenging for the title.

I agree with the statement about not being able to win a league but neither do teams like Aberdeen or Hearts have a squad to win the title but when they come up against a top half team they can compete and win games like that. Doing it in 1 off games is a far cry from winning a title however it shows they can win these games that we aren't winning at the moment. When rangers came up I'd have loved for them to challenge for the title but it's not the case

    1. They would not be on his budget.

    2. Really? No doubt whatsoever that we have the players to compete for the title, over a season, and for every competition? I have my doubts about that. Yes, some can and will develop, but not right now, and not this entire squad.

Walter Smith done well with what he had but he knew what it takes to win games that he had to win regardless if he had money or not. It would be harder don't get me wrong but you can only play with the cards your dealt.

As for the squad we have players who can play football and can win games they done it last season against teams like Kilmarnock, Dundee, Celtic with what he had. Maybe not competing for the title but definitely against teams like Hearts and Aberdeen to get 2nd and get euro football. We seen earlier in the season against Aberdeen apparently based on the way we had been playing we were going to go up there and get destroyed, we didnt, we lost a goal in the last minute to a cracking freekick but was that another squad or the same squad from last night?

  6. I think warburton IS the man for the job HOWEVER it's times like this when we need a Walter Smith, Souness etc to have a word in Warbutons ear and tell him that it's not working out. This is a job davie weir is supposed to be doing but I can't see him changing Warburtons mind when it comes to formation and selection. The players we have are good enough to compete theres no doubt about that if they weren't then they wouldn't have outplayed Celtic last season and they wouldn't have been in the semi final of the league cup. If the formation can change with players who look hungry ie O'Halloran, Garner, Forrester, Wallace then we could beat any team on or day and I am that confident of that. We seen at the end of the McCoist era the 4-3-3 wasn't working, McCall came in with the same players as McCoist, changed it to a 3-5-2 and Rangers pushed to the Playoff finals again motherwell. Not saying we can't improve areas of the park ie RB, CB, GK but I definately think we can easily do better!

  7. I think it's time not to sack Warburton but for the board to get everyone in the room and I mean everyone and ask what the he'll is going on. why are they playing with no heart is it because they aren't interested? not on enough Money? not happy with the way the team are told to play? The board need to rattle the playing squad and the management team and say if your not committed, there's the door, stop taking our supporters for a ride! Warburton doesn't understand what to do to win games. he deserved a lot of credit last season for getting the team playing football in a lower league and rightfully so but he needs to understand this is the top league, teams will batter us and try to put us down. a rangers team is always bred to combat back

I would play Forrester in there for that reason. He likes a tackle, if Windass isn't 100% fit he shouldn't be in the squad tonight, Can't afford passengers.

You would still need a physical presence in there I think forrester plays his best football in the middle when he has the chance to go forward but think warburton prefers Windass for that roll. IMO I would want to drop Holt not because he is not a good player but because he needs a powerfull player next to him which we don't really have right now.

  9. Tonight he needs presence in the midfield on Saturday noticed Partick Thisle winning far too many of the 2nd/3rd balls and winning possession in the midfield. We miss a player like Dom Ball who could sit infront of the defence, win the ball and give it to one of the attackers. Would have liked to see Crooks anchor the midfield but unfortunately can see likes of holt getting bullied.
