  1. It's clearly a great gesture to name a stand after Sandy, however, I feel a different tribute would be more fitting. We do only have four stands and as the club moves forward some will contribute as much, or more, to the club than Sandy. Arguably, some already have. How should they be remembered and recognised? We have the Bill Struth Main Stand and now the Govan has been renamed. Will we only have two more people worthy of such an honour? I don't think so. At Old Trafford there are statues of Law, Best and Charlton - a similar tribute would, imo, would be better.

Costs nothing to rename the stand but i do get your point and something that is always available going forward.

Ive always liked the idea of a walk of fame around the stadium similar to hollywood stars on the ground.

It could be a source of fresh income in a similar way to the brick names but in this case each slab on the walkway had a different great ranger with the supporters names underneath who have paid to be on said "star"

Imo it would have fitted into the tour and walkway to a rangers museum.

  2. Hopefully so. Media won't be happy that they didn't uncover the story either.

What I mean about friends in the right places reminds me of Northern Ireland. Ulster Unionists dropped the ball years ago now they're getting trampled on(not the parades issue but day to day life) and now that I live in Scotland I fear Unionists hear have done the same.

It won't end with a no in September either as following the example of Sinn Fein the SNP will use this as the next step. Our big problem is who to vote for? Labour hate Unionists, SNP hate us and the Tories only care about London and southern England.

A bit of a political reply but that's what it boils down to in the end.

    WATP.

The answer there is the PUL community need to rally behind an alernative political party to overcome the 3 main parties, we certainly have the numbers but are unorganised and largely inactive.

The days of voting labour for every rangers fan/ unionist/ protestant should be over considering their posturing and corruption regarding state aid for celtic and the catholic church.

Something like the Scottish Unionist Party.

  3. The usual suspects would say it was bigoted of us, but feck them

There is an added little fuzzy warm feeling in the gut that is the satisfaction of knowing that it would drive the usual suspects even more demented than they already are.

But that is only a small part of why i would like to hear it at our games.

There is a pride and belonging aspect to recognising your british heritage.

  4. Angela wasn't always asked to deal in facts but instead was asked her opinion in some instances. If Angela or Phil are asked their opinion on Rangers what does the BBC think they're going to say? The book 'Downfall' was widely discredited and even the Scotsman said it was hard to take seriously given it was written with such bias and includes phrases like "please let this Club die". She helped write that and the BBC think she's an appropriate person to come on air and offer up opinion.

Hence a complete stitch up but her opinions could have been blown apart and shown up for what they are.

  5. Haggerty needs to be dismantled clinically , psychologically and intelligently.

She is poison but clever at what She does.

Propaganda merchant of the most odious kind.

You are giving her way too much credit.

She was given free reign to spew her hatred and lies unchallenged by the bbc, someone with tactical nous armed with the facts of the matter would have slaughtered her.

Sadly houston was only there for self interest and pops at the bbc which was shambolic.

  6. Craig with all the best intentions is not a speaker. As much as he's not well liked mark Dingwall would have been a far better choice to appear but I feel the bbc knew what they were doing when the invited went out. I have the passion to do this but I know I would get raped by a decent debater that's why I just leave it to folk who are good at it. David Edgar and even chris graham should have been put forward

I do agree that Craig seemed somewhat out-of-his-depth... But he did actually try and argue against the claims and tried to get a few digs in at the BBC (who's reporting of anything Rangers has now become so childish and 'nah-nah-nah-nah-nah' that it beggars belief).

If you notice also, none of Haggerty's claims of liquidation of the club etc were questioned by the anchor of the show, whereas, she seemed only too eager to put the boot into Craig Houston. But then a lot of people on here are somewhat similar in that regard.

Myself, I think the vitriol shown towards Mr. Houston should probably be redirected towards the BBC and ill Phil's marionette.

In all fairness BMR there are plenty who are Posting the BBC are biased cunts as well as the bigoted unqualified cow.

Imo houston looked and sounded way out his depth which refelected poorly on him and our support.

Again thats only my opinion but he has been posting on FF about getting a dig into the BBC but thats not what was required last night amd seems was his only goal rather than getting pertinet points across sbout the verdict and its implications.
