I wrote this a number of weeks ago for a Canadian magazine and coudn't help but plug our countries best young talent.
Number 9. John Fleck
-
Height???
What doesn that matter when he can't head the ball?
Definitely could have been beter spent.
-
Whittaker proved he could run up and down a wing unchallenged against Hamilton. Big Deal.
Can he defend????
If Broadfoot is fit I'd play him right back...if Bougherra is out then Broadfoot at CB and Whittaker at RB.
-
Has to be fleck imo...
Beasley hasn't played a 1st team match in ages and won't be up to pace.
Aaron has yet to prove he can do it against Hamilton with ten men never mind Celtic in a Cup Final...madness to play him from the start.
Novo not anywhere near fit enough to start.
-
To be fair, over half of the comments I hear at Ibrox aimed towards players would make you think that person has zero knowledge of the game but what amateur football has got to do with it, I don't know.
Half the ex pro's and pundits talk just as much shite.
-
Papac is worth more than half a million for a start.
-
I enjoy cricket tbh but I grew up in South Africa where I enjoyed hitting the ball in nets....lovely weather for it
-
I say use him, British athletics is shit at the moment...we could do with not cutting our noses off....he has served his time.
-
I think its plain and boring but was just thinking how short that lass must be....we all know Brown is a garden gnome.
-
The man has a first touch of a rapist and murdered much of the good work done by the midfield today.
How a man so tall can be so useless in the air is also puzzling, Michael Owen is 5ft nothing yet scores regularly with his head. We actually need Miller flicking the ball on for him which really defeats the purpose, does it not?
Having said all that, he did score two goals and did plenty of running for the cause which made him look like a footballer at times which is more than can be said for Kris Boyd who again came on and showed us how it shouldn’t be done.
Neither player is the answer to be honest. The £3.5 million spent on Lafferty was a waste of money as we may play crap football with Boyd in the side but it isn’t going to get much better with a target man who can’t control or head the ball.
At least we know why Walter was playing him wide left, it is the only position he doesn’t have to use his head. Even when playing upfront, Lafferty spends most of his time in the channels trying to get balls into the box. I honestly think he dreads being the one in the box.

Other than his left foot strike, he did no more or no less than Kirk Broadfoot in a usual 90 minute shift.
-
The youngster was hardly gold dust however and struggled when things got physical in a similar way Chris Burke used too.
Many fans have been saying “he [Niguez] should have been starting months ago,” but I think it was clear today why he hasn’t. The Spaniard struggled to stay on his feet and even against a 10 man opposition {due to Hamilton’s injury nightmare] he rarely had a go at his man.
He also drifted too much for me, if Rangers are going to play Steven Davis at right mid, who constantly drifts then we need some sort of constant width, at least until the ball is at his [Niguez]feet.
I’m sure all concerned were happy with his first start as was I. However, he’ll need to hit the gym or sharpen up his pace if he is to be a Rangers regular but there is no doubt he is a talented player.

lol there is no way he is on that kind of money....
-
Just proves how well we done last year...take it as a compliment
-
Great man to have around the squad, play when needed......
-
I don't either and the comments about his crossing and running beyond Davis....well that might be because Davis can't cross either.
Damned if he does get down the right, damned if he doesn't.

Always the same from Arsene but his side is clearly not good enough or up for the fight in any way.

Ive always had the feeling that something major is gonna go wrong either at these games or before them.
Still stand by that
Because it is Africa???
No, i dont know what it is. Just had a weird feeling about it. It was when they started talking about having a backup for it, i just feared that they were gonna have to use it.
I could be wrong! Hope so.
Some of the stadiums and places look fantastic so far, plus the weather should be good. Have to watch the heat though
That was all brought on by SA's greatest sporting rivals Australia trying to upset the apple cart.

See above.....An African world cup looks fantastic to me hey....this is the new stadium in Port Elizabeth, taken three months ago.

I still think it will be moved to another country at the last minute, like it was in 1986 iirc.
On what grounds? Tickets went on sale today...
-
There are a lot more workers where they came from......Zimbabwe lol

We will win this game.
I'm actually going through to Edinburgh to watch it.
Fleck one of the best ten young players in the world
