  1. Yes, it is a 10 year contract.

    But contracts can be broken/annulled.

Who might be the person to write to... David Murray, Martin Bain? I wonder what the prospects might be of at least opening a North American shop, like in Canada.

  2. I've heard a few concerns about JJB's quality of service so far. I guess the deal has only been running for a year or so, but the type of news we're reading in the initial post isn't very positive.

It will be interesting to see how the club utilise the rest of the £18million initial payment. IIRC, we still have £14.5million of it left. Next years accounts should also be boosted by 3 new strips which will probably mean JJB will have to pay more than the miniumum annual payment of £3million.

In financial terms the deal is pretty good but in practical terms it's not good to hear of our fans being conned.

Apparently, it is a 10-yr contract. Found this:

DLA Piper advises JJB on Glasgow Rangers deal

  3. fair enough I am uK based, but, only experience I have had, was ordering a few bits on monday, and, they arrived today, so, am pretty happy (as is my 3 year old daughter with her new kit hehe)

Part of my order was kit for my 5-yr old son (tu)

  4. As you probably know, they run the online store for Rangers. They should be hung.

I live in the US, and last month I put in a decent sized order with them. Because of the volume, etc. I wasn't surprised by a delivery fee that was the equivalent of aroung $40 US - a bit high, but okay. HOWEVER... I went back last night & I was going to place a much smaller order. Did you know that shipping fee would be the same if I only ordered, say, a freakin mug & keychain??? What is that, a delivery penalty?? I wasn't after a mug & keychain, but that's beside the point

After looking at shops for other clubs, its not always that way. For instance:

Man Utd. - free airmail on most stuff, dependent on size, weight, etc.

Celtic (God forbid) - offers options of UPS or standard airmail

They really need to change this. North American supporters like me would honestly be buying something every month if we weren't having to tack $40 onto every order.

  5. Awrite. I need you guys to recommend some books to me, as far as Ger's history and things of that nature. Is there one (or a few) that are better, or more concise? I say books, mainly, as I'm not sure how many of the DVDs would actually work out for me over here. Im in the USA. Thanks.

You mean because of region coding? You can get around that on most DVD players. Oh wait a minute you mean NTSC/PAL probs... doh !

I have seen that some players will even work around the PAL problem, just haven't bought one yet.

    I'm in Mississippi, btw.

  7. I've stayed out of those discussions, as well, mostly because I'm sure there is a lot of the history I'm not familiar with. I have my thoughts on it all, but I'd come across as an idiot I'm sure. This past week or two have been rough for me. I do appreciate you guys discussing it, though - I have learnt more about the team from this site than I ever had before.
