  1. This is hopefully the start of the end for SDM but before we all get carried away just because J T has been given a seat does not mean that all members of the RSA will move to the RST. I could be wrong but I believe JT was appointed as head of the Assembly by SDM, if so what is to say that SDM will not just appoint someone else. I just hope to hear of lots of people joining us in the RST.

  2. Just a theory but they may be in every shop simpley because they cant shift them, no one wants them.

Over the years some reasearch was done and Rangers sell 40% more merchandise than celtic so dont worry to much about it

This may have been true pre JJB deal. Since then they are doing a much better job of merchandising and we have gone backwards without doubt.

  3. The problem with staying in the bargain basement you end up waisting a lot of what you little you do have. I would rather see us signing 1 or 2 quality players and giving some of our youth players a chance than signing 6 players in the 500,000 to 1.5 million bracket who 9 out of 10 don't cut it.

  4. ASSET STRIPPING???!!! WTF are you on about??

I'm sorry I was not around to answer your aggressively phrased question in person but I'm afraid with the time difference I was fast asleep dreaming of better days for our club. Frankie did an admirable job in answering for me.

Indeed my pet peeve is the Albion car park purchased by PPG from RFC for approximately 750,000 pounds which is pretty close to the annual income from the property. In the time since that asset was sold PPG have made 2-3 million pounds gross income and obviously retain ownership of the Albion which will also have increased in value by quite a bit. This sale to me was certainly not in RFC's best interest.

EH and Azure are along the same lines as the income from them after the sale still found it's way to Mr Murray.

JJB is a little different, as far as I know Mr Murray has no connection with them but it's still a club asset we are missing.

Murray park can't be classed as an asset gained in the same sense as RFC did not purchase this on the cheap from one of Mr Murray's other companies. It was financed from the ground up by RFC.

  5. You sound like Murray mate :craphead:

If you've read any of my posts on Murray you will see I probably hate him as much as you. I just think that Boyd is over rated. If you look at the season before he came to Ibrox Wee Novo scored almost as much as Boyd scored this season but put in much more work making goals for others and guess what. We won the league.

  6. for fecks sake, our league record since Smith took over is excellent. This can only improve as more players are brought in, What Celtic do does not concern me, i am confident we will win the title next season under Smith.

The league was over when Walter took over. We beat the scum twice once when they were 18 points clear and the other when they had already clinched the league. Look at our performances after we clinched 2nd spot. Don't get carried away we have a long way to go to climb out of this mess and the quality of our performances since Walter took over have really only improved at center half.

  7. If Bain had any wit about him he will be asking NARSA for help with this when he is over for the convention in 3 weeks time. I would expect 50 or so of the NARSA affiliated clubs to be in attendance and I for one intend to ask him about overseas marketing during the Q&A session.

  8. No sympathy at all for Murray from this bear, his asset stripping is the reason that no-one else is too interested in buying Rangers. After his mismanagement sent us spiraling into debt, to keep the banks happy he sold off parts of Rangers to his other companies to reduce the dept. e.g. The Albion sold to a Murray company for 3/4 million approx. Used as a car park for Rangers games netting approx 3/4 million per season and Murray still retains ownership (not for Rangers) of land worth much more than the 3/4 million he paid Rangers for it.

We are now asking him to back the playing staff with what is virtually a gift of 10 million or so from his vast wealth when at the time he would not back us to the tune of 3/4 million for what was a sure fire loan to retain a good Rangers asset.

I would love to see him GTF unfortunately until someone comes in we are stuck with him.

  9. I know it's only hearsay but I've heard the same story that Fish has, from people with connections high up in Ibrox. I must admit when I read about Spurs and Middlesboro and 5m I am begining to doubt my source but they are right 99% of the time.
