  1. I have been thinking of a subtle way of upsetting our Giro holding friends and have come up with the following:

As they showed our countries heroes no respect last weekend, we should mark the next game at Parkhead (Feb 14) by all wearing red (make the gers end look like a poppy field), at the start of the game when they are finished with there YNWA dirge, we all stand to attention for a minutes silence on our own !!

At the end of our minutes silence we throw thousands of red poppies into the parkhead sky in honour of our heroes !!

    What you all think?

I am sure with all our contacts and supporters clubs this could be easily arranged !!

  2. Even though he has had a few quiet games i don't thimk it merits the calls for Mendes to be droppped/rested.

When he has a quite game, he is still the kind of player that can pop up and give us that killer pass/moment that can win us a game !

And just having him in the team gives the opposition someting to worry about, he is a genuine threat, which is something we have lacked in the last few years !!!

  3. Rangers top offensive? No. They should really know what 'offensive' actually is.

Rangers winning the Treble , and holding the party in Bairds , marching in one by one as the Famine Song is played over the PA. The clientele being forced to applaud at gunpoint by the B-Specials as Barry hoists the League Trophy aloft on the bar whilst Nacho and David Healy do the same with the Scottish and League cups. Gerry Adams is marched in , bent over the table and spanked bare-bottom by Walter Smith, while Martin McGuiness is made to present each and every one of the Rangers squad all 3 of their medals , and then applaud as big Sasa douses him with a huge bucket of freezing cold water.

All the while this is being beamed back live to the Falls Road on gigantic HD Sony Bravia screens - now thats offensive.

now that would be worth the ticket money. :rangers::mutley:

'If carlsberg made offensive gestures, this would probably be the best offensive gesture in the world'

  4. Could not beleive Davis got MOTM, his pace and hunger was good, but his use of the ball (apart from the cross for the goal), was terrible, never seen him miss so many passes.

Lafferty i also thought was not upto much, very poor touch and control, although i dont't think we can truly judge him until we see him playing a few games in his correct postion.

Why Walter is persisting playing the hopeless Darcheville and sticking his £4m striker out on the wing baffles me!

  5. The defence and the goalie were to blame:

    1. Weir allowed Mehmet to win the header out wide without a challenge

    2. Bouigherra backed off McGinn and tempted him to shoot

    3. McGregor was so woefully positioned to the left of his goal, he couldn't even attempt a save.

As much as i am not McGregors fan at the moment and i think he should not have been back in the team, the responsibility for this goal lands with the whole defence and not a single player.

Biggest issue is Walter cocked up with the team selection, tactics and substitutes.

Hopefully however this will be the rocket up the backside that rids the team of the little complacency that i think was starting to set in !!!!

    Time will tell !!

  6. As far as i know... The National team has no bearing on the Coefficient of Scottish club sides that compete in Europe!

The co-efficient for the national team is added to the SPL teams to give an overall country ranking which determines how many teams you have in the Champions League and UEFA cup !!!

So Scotland declining and us oot of Europe will probably cost us a CL place in a few years time i suspect, as it is based over a rolling five year period !!!

  7. Garcia and Monty would be my captain picks !!!

But i hope that Garcia and Poulter make good moves in the next few weeks to get into the automatic positions, allowing Faldo to pick Clarke and Monty.

Here's to 4 in a row (Ryders Cups that is !!)

  8. With Cousin out....Boyd not getting a sniff in Europe...Darcheville awful against Motherwell on wednesday, i bet Walter is considering McCulloch for the lone striker role for 60 mins in the UEFA Cup final !!!

I agree with previous posts that Whittaker must be put back to RB in place of Broadfoot, with probably Adam (not a great fan but at least his left peg will give the team better balance) back in at LM.
