  1. Just been at front of main stand 1.30 Mounted cops are already there .Tell you what ,with the rain and the stench of Appathy ,there will be hardly anyone outside today .I just feel it ..I've been here before .

Clearly you've never been within arms reach of a dictionary, you knuckle dragging dummy.

Rangers might be the best club in the world, or at the very least Britain, but we have the most illiterate supporters too.

  2. Thanks govanblue, that's definitely helped. I know I met Boyd that night, but still can't identify him on my shirt.

They also look a lot better in person. Keep in mind, I was on a pitch with 4,000 other Rangers supporters all waiting to get shirts, flags, scarves signed, so I didn't a) have the time to identify each player by name and b) the signatures were done pretty fast on a jersey I was holding, so a few of the signatures are scrunched up.

Still need help with 4, 6, 7 and 10. The one below 6 looks like it could be Ian Durrant.

  3. Hey, I live in Ottawa and was at the Fury FC match v Rangers FC here in Ottawa. After the match there was a signing and meet/greet on the pitch, but players came through pretty quickly, so I'm having trouble identifying them. The ones I have identified are left to right clockwise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  4. Wasn't sure where else to post this. Sandy was one of my favourites growing up.

My dad supported Hearts and on my 7th birthday he bought tickets to a match at Parkhead.

They were badly outplayed, but we waited over an hour beside the team bus (which you were permitted to do in the late 80's/early 90's) for the players to arrive.

I filled my autograph book that day, meeting John Robertson, Gary Mackay, etc. but it was Sandy who stuck out on my mind, asking my name and signing my book "To Scot, with one t..".

He was a class act both on and off the field. Instrumental in uniting supporters during our darkest hours and in my opinion the best defender to play for Scotland.

I've carried that day with me for over 25 years and every time it reminds me that he was a true ambassador of both Scotland and the great game of football.

    RIP Sandy, x.

  5. It's interesting to me that Allan MacGregor was disciplined after the defeat against the Netherlands and gave the V sign at the same time as Barry did, but MacGregor is still praised and Ferguson is vilified. I'm sure there's a legitimate reasoning behind that, but I've yet to hear it...

  6. You lot slagging Barry must be short sighted. He's definitely a legend still, despite his carry on with the national team (which lets be honest was utter shambles at the time) and the PLG era, which imo is one of the worst managerial moves in our clubs history.
