  1. The website www.teamtalk.com has an interesting poll today, What is the most intense derby in British football?

At the moment, the Old Firm is sitting in 3rd place on 17% while Newcastle/Sunderland is 21%. I suggest we all head there and vote to (quite rightly) put the Old Firm derby as the most fierce in the country! Just another way of increasing a bit of exposure for the Gers.

  2. This will sound very random, however, Im trying to remember the name of a band (and song) that was played regularly during Ibrox half time in the 09-10 season. If I remember correctly, the band made an appearance on the pitch one time, I remember hearing the announcer say they were were gonna donate some of their profits from their first album to Rangers Charity Foundation. I think the songs chorus went something like "you'll be miiine" and it was a pop-rock kind of sound, like Biffy Clyro (it def wasnt them).

    anybody with any ideas?

    WATP

  3. Im a British-Asian bear and I honestly think the best way of beating these a$$holes is by ignoring them. Let them stand wherever they want, but as long as ppl turn away they'll never be taken seriously.

Caltic fans tell me all the time how "racist" a club we've always been lol... interestingly no mention of Mark Walters getting bananas pelted at him at Parkhead. scumbags.

  4. Im very pleased with the result, Miller was exceptional, even tracking back and defending well if needed. I thought Mendes had a much better day in comparison to the Sevilla game. Weir played well for the most part, as did Novo once he'd come on. Celtic didnt deserve to win today, fair enough they had most of the ball but if nothing is done with it then thats their problem eh?

Only downer from today is the sad news my Celtic-supporting cousins who were at the game suffered some racial abuse outside the stadium but other than that, a good day for us.

  5. I know people will think this is perhaps too far, but i think we badly need Kirk Broadfoot back in the team. Ok so he'll need time to get back into the swing again (or longer if hes like Thomson) but we really need an RB who can close people down and stay determined in the the challenge. He might not have as great feet as Whittaker, but Id rather take a defensively sound RB any day of the week. Get well soon Kirk!!

  6. was good to see the team being appluaded off for the effort they put in

well done to the fans that stayed behind except the guy in main stand shouting abuse think he thought it was partick thistle that beat us

This guy must be 5 or 6 rows behind me, its my first season ticket and I just know his shouting is gonna p*** me off all season. He just kept moaning and moanin, OK fair enough mendes played terribly but everytime he got the ball this guy went mental. Someone tried to shut him but to no avail.

On a more positive note, Im in Main Stand Rear and so I enjoyed the antics of Broomloan, I thought Govan stand was really quiet tho. My first Champ League game and although we lost I still enjoyed the atmosphere.

  7. Id much rather prefer an easier route to the last 16. The additonal £££'s it would bring are exactly wot the club need. And then perhaps for the last 16 we could play Real Madrid? That would be perfect, cos we all know we're not going far in the tournament, but getting through the group stage and going out to a gigantic team like Madrid would sit superbly with me :)

  8. Can someone please explain why Celtic getting knocked out helps maintain our TV money? Not bein cheeky, I just dont understand, thats all.

Theyre gonna get booted anyway... after all, they have to play a leg in Europe. We all know Timmy and away fixtures do not mix :)

  9. I reckon a few changes to the policy would work wonders this year. Why not adopt a Wenger-like attitude and use these youngsters in domestic Cup games? Less pressure than the League and often against lower league opposition. Would be a great opportunity for them to gain some experience instead of kickabouts at Murray Park.

  10. When he is fit, he needs first team run. If he falters, then moving him on would be logical. I think keeping him for Champions League alone isnt good enough. Thats only 6 games minimum, while the league (our main goal) is 38 other games.
