  1. We won't sign him because..

He doesn't play in the championship..

    He's highly rated..

    He's not Scottish..

He hasn't supported Rangers since he was a boy..

    His agent isn't Willie McKay.

Add to the above: He hasnt played in the SPL before

  2. Seen on ITV teletext page 408, it says Cardiff boss Peter Ridsdale is going to offer a new increased bid for Kris Boyd. He said "We are prepared to increase our offer on a player for whom we have already submitted a bid". He hasnt mentioned Boydy by name, but the source has titled it as 'Cardiff to table new offer for Boyd'.

Heres hoping the management can keep their hands in their pockets and resist temptation!

  3. Don't worry mohammed, WhiteVanBear has already shown himself for what he is.

I'm not the sort to hide in a dark room. :unionflag:

Mohammed/Declan can support who he wants, but he appears to be a glory hunter. If the tims had been winning throughout the 90s, i suspect he'd be posting on Kerrydale Street today. The lads from outwith Glasgow are staunch, we'd be Rangers men whatever.

    Vote BNP :pipe:

So in your reckoning, those of us who come from Glasgow and have been brought up by relatives (who supported the Gers through the dark times) to support the Gers, during a time in which we were winning trophies, are glory hunters?

And people who come from elsewhere in which they have their own local teams, and choose to support Rangers, over their local teams, have a lower proportion of glory hunters among them?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that all of us who come from Glasgow and are fortunate enough to go to the games are Rangers through and through, believe me, from the difference in the people who I seen at league games or in the latter European games last season, I'd say there were quite a few glory hunters. And at the same time I'm not saying that not coming from Glasgow doesn't make people any less of a Rangers fan than the rest of us.

Just trying to see what you mean exactly.

    (tu) Finally some sense.

    Vote BNP

Sorry WhiteVanBear, I'll leave the BNP voting to you. Aint going to ged rid of us anyway :harhar:

  4. Mohammed whats your story for becoming a Gers fan?

Been a gers fan since I've been about 8. I can see Ibrox from my room, thats where it all started I guess.

I'm taking that 87 is the year that you were born so....."IF" 1995 is when you started supporting the club?

Some might say you were a Glory hunter

Not really. Since I've been aged 2 I've lived 1.2 miles from Ibrox and can clearly see it from my room. Hardly glory hunting. <_<

Yes really.... you didn't start supporting Rangers as you said "until you were 8"

Why was that....Maybe due to fact Rangers at that time we were winning Title after Title?

So don't come here slating Supporters Outside of Glasgow, for being Glory Hunters!

When the Fact is, your trying to cover up the Fact..... that your one yourself <_<

No because at that age I could start going to the matches.

    :bouncy:

So your logic is you need to go to matches to be a fan?

Now thats a different topic/thread altogether!

    :rangers:

This whole thread has been blown out of proportion though. I was mearly bringing up the subject for discussion. I dont care if it is related to Rangers, I still believe Glory Hunters are present at Rangers (not necessarily this forum though). This thread has shown that some people do believe that but it wasnt supposed to be a personal attack on anyone.

  9. Fuck off mohammed.

Talk about a hard fuckin neck.

    :unionflag:

I travelled to watch Rangers, every week, in the pre-Souness days. Is that glory-hunting?

Fuckin cheeky cunt. Why dont you go home?

That's a fucking outrageous thing to say.

Im used to it now on these boards. Never thought some fellow gers fans were like this. Just aswell I never get hassle at Ibrox.

  10. Although, I dont think that is what you mean, I think you are aiming more at Bears who are not born and bred Glaswegian, which, with no disrespect, would include yourself down the line at some point going from your screen name.

My dad was born in Glasgow and mum been here since she was 7. Hardly not born and bred in Glasgow.

In bold was the important part of that sentence, stop being so defensive!

Take it the rest of my post was fine then aye?

  12. But Mohammed, that is bang out of order, any one can support who they want. And I don't think its fair to see them branded as a 'glory Hunter'

Im not saying anything about anyone! Im just bringing up the subject and exploring if it exists with Rangers, as im sure it does in every club. Im not labelling anyone as a glory hunter, theres nothing wrong with discussing it.

    Fuck off mohammed.

    Thats not necessary

Fuckin cheeky cunt. Why dont you go home?

My home in Glasgow, Scotland. Not Pakistan, not asia, not arabia. Born and raised in Glasgow.

  13. Been on a couple of other forums where people have brought up the subject of 'Glory Hunters' and how its criminal how people support clubs from outside their towns/cities even when they have their own club (could be due to success or not)

Got me thinking, obviously there must be fans out there who follow Rangers even though they come from places where they have their own footie team. What do you guys make of this? Is it acceptable or just a thing we have to accept will always happen.

Obviously people may have their own story, for example, they currently live in Kilmarnock but moved there only a couple of years ago or the persons dad brought them up as a fan of a certain team.

(I have noticed people on here from Motherwell, Kilmarnock, Dumfries, Kirkaldy etc etc)

I just think the whole state of Scottish football in general would be in better shape if glory hunting was kept to a minimum,

  14. Signs on a 3 year deal according to clyde doh

He has signed a contract to keep him at Ibrox until the summer of 2011.

Should have been signed on a week to week contract seeing as he is as fragile as a granny!!

If he was fully fit I wouldnt have a problem with him, he's obviously good enough for the SPL as shown at Hearts and seeing as he's done not bad at international level I'd say give him a chance.

I'd play him over Reynolds anyday.

  15. To be honest I dont really have a problem with England. I dont support them but it doesnt bother me if they win matches or even win a major tournament. Should I hate them more? I dont have any connections to England, only distant cousins. Couldnt care less about Wales and N.Ireland aswell. Its just Scotland for me!
