Anyone seen the interviews with the Villa fans? "Mcleish couldn' handle as big a club as Villa" - who are these guys? When were they last in Europe? When did they last win anything? Big club my arse. They are in the PL to make up the numbers.

Aye, but Lafferty isn't on the front page very often. Goodwillie has been involved in fights in town, rape accusations etc - reminds me of Riordan, and we don't need/want that kind of grief and negative influence in the dressing room. Not for £1m odd anyway.

The show has highlighted that we should give these boys a total education while they are with us. They should have a full education, and be taught about football. This should be done to ensure that those who don't make it have something to fall back on, and don't end up like Ford working Asda nightshift for the rest of his life.

I read the first few lines but couldn't bring myself to read anymore. Another hurting timmy venting and accusing everybody and anybody. Get it right round them. They got every decision going this season, and still couldn't beat us.

I would take him back. He was going out of contract and wasn't sure what the financial situation was, so moved on, can't really fault him for that. He was a great servant to the club, and he could more than do a job for us again.

You would think he would be more sympathetic to the fans of the club he played for for most of his career than a team he just joined. I don't think any Birmingham fans would have complained if he took the diplomatic approach:
Non-dickhead Ferguson: "It's wonderful winning the Carling Cup with Birmingham but I don't think many could argue winning the treble with your boyhood heroes is probably my greatest achievement."
Every brum fan/like minded person: "Fair enough mate, I respect you for saying that."

I agree with your summation on how it should have went, but I think that he's just made a poorly worded statement, whilst trying to sell himself to the Brum fans. I say that with tinted specs though, as he was my hero when I was growing up.

I agree with the OP here. Historically we have done deals discreetly unlike others from across the city who love to make everything public. I feel doing things quietly, at least in the transfer market, is the right way to do things.
