I say yes because the money is going back to Rangers but I do see the can of worms thing and it would really have to be closed after this.No harm in buying a ticket and raffiling it off but not just buying people tickets.

That would be possible - it was also his 21st birthday yesterday I see.
I see about 4 or 5 people already agree, so if a few more can agree here, and assuming no significant number of members disagrees, then I'm sure we could sort something out.
The tricky part is - what to get him? Any ideas?

Wasnt sure which thread to post in so posted in both ! Would it be possible to send Darren out a great well gift / card from the sponsor money after his operation . if his injury is as bad as reported on this board , looks like could be out for rest of the season . So a little something might boost the kids spirits.

That is also a popular suggestion, and I think that's where we will probably end up.
But it might be nice to allocate a small part of the money to indulge in a few fun activities, similar to the Xmas raffle tickets just for the fun of it.
Aye small things like that seem like a good idea too.I also forgot about the gift for Sandy,whether it be as simple as a card or an actual gift.Personaly I don't think it is invading his privacy,not like we are asking anything of him,we would just be showing him we are thinking of him.I doubt he would recieve it and be like "wtf,those pesky kids ruining my day with this very nice card/gift"

The brick has pretty much been agreed by all, so I'm pretty sure that will happen (if we can manage to agree the wording!)
The idea of a couple of ticket giveaways is also a good one. But how would we go about finding a worthy recipient? I'm sure we could, I'm just asking if anyone has ideas or suggestions how best we could do that.
Pictures of bank statements should be required.

Update: I'll be leaving shortly for the Annan game, and might not be back online till tomorrow.
So in the meantime, a quick summary:
The ideas gaining most support so far seem to be (in no particular order):
1. A tribute to Sandy Jardine
2. An Ibrox Brick
3. Bank the rest towards next season's sponsorship
If you don't see your favoured option there, then you need to drum up more support for it
Keep the suggestions and opinions coming please.
