  2. Not even back in the early 80s do I remember such a unified cry of anguish from Rangers supporters. And, back then, the answer of tens of thousands was to GTF away from the club resulting in shockingly low attendances. Holmes/Souness/Murray turned that around with remarkable speed and, most importantly, returned consistently high attendances.

Will all the hate-filled neg-heads who now have the internets to vent their spleen follow their 80s fore-bearers and slink away like snaw aff a dyke? I hope not - we'll see soon enough.

For those who will turn their back - feel free list your feeble excuses below as to why you will desert The Rangers when they need our support as much as the club ever did.

Thinking back, watching Rangers in the early 80s was a fecken hoot. Football was dire at times, but supported by ' fitba people' ...nae posers or PC wankers ..going behind your back. You knew it would get better on the pitch some day...couldnt get any worse. You felt part of RFC....and met the same faces week in week out all over the country.....point is, there was a way forward back then......not so sure these days.

  3. Right bears. Just home from Glasgow. Had to have a few drinks after that feckin shambles today. Let me say that I never wanted Walter back. I cant and never will forgive him for blowing 10 in a row against 1 of the worst mhank teams ever. Also I cant forgive him for blowing the league last season and even though he got us to our first Euro final in 36 years and probably the last in my lifetime he played for feckin pens. Now he has made us harder to beat but that is it. Nothing more. The football is feckin shocking. In a friendly today we played with 1 up top again and big Lee is our attacking, creative midfielder. Now I read people on this forum say give Walter time as there is still time to turn it round before the end of the transfer window. I have to ask people. Do they honestly believe this. Do they honestly believe that we are going to buy the 3, 4 maybe 5 players we need to win this title. Not squad players but the quality that we were told that would improve our first 11. The mhanks are rank but they are better than us at the moment. I am sorry if it has been asked before on the forum but is Walter the man to take us to were we belong. I think not but I hope I am feckin wrong.

Haven't posted for ages...but in full agreement with the post. The shambolic fiasco surrounding the failure to win 10 in a row... is still hard to take ....and the sheer staleness and boredom factor of this squad ...does not fill me with any optimisim for the coming season.

  4. Remember feeling so f#cken strange when he ran out at the tattiedome in a Gers strip....some were clapping ..I was just stunned.

He scored against the mhanks of coarse...and a goal every two games in his time at gods country was a fair return its true.

It was a strange couple of seasons back then...dont think Ive ever came to terms with it ...every time its brought up I just think..f#ck no that wee ginger c#nt again. Hero ? Eh....no.

  5. Rangers at present.... are a collection of journeymen...WS & CO. to their great credit have managed to install some believe and a great amount of spirit. We have been steadly throwing the league away for afew weeks now...not just todays some what pathetic result.

WS would be the first to admit he could have done things differently....hey, we are all wise after the event,.. he has after all got quite alot right.

As you say mate.... We have been throwing it away for a few weeks.

So if WS would be the first to admit he could do things differently, why didn't he a few weeks ago.

In our first defeat, why did he come out with the same tactics the week after.

If anyone thinks winning 3 points out of 15 in our last 5 away games and no one is to blame there is something seriously wrong

Would agree its a total pisser to say the least, that other options were not explored ...hes probably thought that the tide would turn, and after 30min today ..it looked, dare I say it, like easy street...aye right.

WS knows his squad....maybe a case of no confidence, in the other ' journeymen' .

  7. Would certainly agree that Werder Bremen were the best team we faced on route to the final...have to say I was astonished we over came Werder....more than any of the other truely astounding results we've achieved in this campaign. P.S. ( screw those Italians ....your so right mate.... :beer2: ...... :unionflag:

  8. can anyone remember the comment the ITV4 commentators made about britishness? it was brilliant but iv completely forgot it.

Andy Townsend Im sure, made a comment about the game having a "real British feel to it"....quality coverage from ITV4 through out this UEFA cup campaign its like an RFC ITV4 channel....WATP.... :unionflag: ....stv GIRUY

  9. In all honesty reading through this thread it doesn`t say much for the standard of our league if we`re boring etc and are sitting top of it.

Aye, its third rate shite....and amazingly.... its getting worse.

  10. Last night was just another torturous journey.

Ibrox is not the place it once was...Scared to sing, fly banners, stand up,and watch a poor excuse for a Glasgow Rangers side..with 2 or 3 exceptions

Nothing like saying it as it is.

  11. I'm personally not on to "wish him all the best" and "thanks for everything"

One year of good form, and he runs off at first chance....hardly a bear through and through.....

Probably a fair bit of prompting has been involved......money talks.....a worrying trend for all concerned at RFC .
