  1. Just looked it up. Gibb's pension fund owned Valley Park and were charging the club £1.2m a year in rent. Do they still own it then?

Not sure how much it is now, but it was that at one point, Wants about 5/6 mill for it which at the moment they just cant afford to buy back. Its a huge amount they have to pay for the attendance they have, Not a well liked man at all in Bradford by some. Hopefully they can buy it soon as it would free up a huge sum for wages and transfers.

Though when he did own City he actually had a free open day for city fans with season tickets, got as many people to go for free and wear the teams colours, I didnt go as was before my time in bradford but people said it was good fun.

  2. it looks good because it is so late and has been blown out of proportion because of the whole Serbia/Croatia misunderstanding in the 90's. For late tackles there was one McManus (playing for celtic) hit Andy Driver (playing for hearts) a few years back that has stuck in the memory.

And neither of them are a patch on Souness v Hibs.

    "misunderstanding"

    haha love it

  3. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/25/euro-2020-13-cities-continent-uefa

Wembley Stadium is to bid to stage the climax of the tournament and is expected to face rival bids from Rome, Berlin, Madrid and Istanbul. Host countries will not qualify automatically but if they do, their national team will be guaranteed to play at least two of the three group matches at home, Infantino confirmed.

He said: "The matches of the Euro will be split into 13 packages – 12 cities who will have three group stage matches and one knock-out round match and one city will host the two semi-finals and final.

"There will be only one venue per country, and it means the semi-finals and final will be played in the same venue."

Istanbul is the favourite for the final – but only if it loses its bid for the 2020 Olympics. The Uefa president Michel Platini has already said he would back the Turkish city and he confirmed his position again on Firday.

He said: "That would be my vote, but if they get the Olympic Games it's out of the question that they could stage the Euros or a match."

Uefa also confirmed that two cities with smaller-capacity stadiums will be among the 13 chosen in an effort to allow smaller countries to enter the bidding – only 21 of the 53 Uefa member nations have stadiums of 50,000 or more.

Two host cities can have a stadium capacity as low as 30,000, that 10 stadiums will have a 50,000 minimum capacity and four of those hosting the quarter-finals to have grounds of at least 60,000.

The stadium that hosts the two semi-finals and final will have to be able to seat more than 70,000 fans.

Cardiff, Dublin and Glasgow are all expected to bid to host group matches at Euro 2020.

  4. Wembley was never like that though. FA Cup Final tickets were allocated to all member clubs, the various county associations, plus VIP's and sponsors. The League did similar for their showpiece.

I still think this is a moot point anyway. The split should be based on average attendance. Bradford shouldn't be getting the same amount as their opponents, even when it is only Swansea.

well thats just bizarre, every club that gets there has as much right as the opponent. if you were going to be that odd then you could give bradford more tickets because it has a bigger population that manchester.

If and only then when a club cannot sell it allocation should the other team be offered more.

  5. what im saying is that the allocations for fans should be alot higher that what they are. 32k is for everyone just like last year etc.

40k each should be right imo. Every team would sell that out, except maybe the chesterfields, barnets, fleetwoods etc of this world.

Wembley should be like as old as should any natonal stadium on a final, one side one colour, one side another.

  6. This isn't about 'posh pricks', it's about gloryhunter pricks.

BFD aside, I am making a point about allocation in general as 32k is the amount for any team.

Bk to the point and yes it is about posh pricks, what about if man ure, arsenal liverpool etc etc had got there, they all have over 32k ST holders yet would still of only been given that amount. so yes it is about posh pricks and modern football in general.

We both support rangers, I would be fuckin livid if we started only getting 15k for cup finals, becuase that is exactly what it equates too,
