Whole things peculiar, but f... it. For whatever reason, at least he's actually fighting for the club. Maybe he's got a few screws loose, maybe he's found something we don't know. Time will tell I suppose....
wouldn't it just be great though if he was proven right?
-
didn't he just re-sign for Heart yesterday? Or am I mistaken?
-
2 relatively modern ones I love.
Lee McCulloch v the sheep wasn't it?
and I can't find a video, but the long range Boyd volley- strange feeling it was against Killie or Partick Thistle? Pretty sure the ball was just punted up the park and he just hammered it in long range. Anyone remember/help with my sketchy details?
-
Perry was pretty much the first to come out saying that- well before sevco, he said that he'd be reporting back for training no matter what.
-
Here's hoping.
-
I think we'll still be voted down. However, I honestly feel like their will be far less "no" votes than shall be publicly stated. Clubs need to be seen to say No to keep season ticket sales up.
-
This just gets more and more depressing.
-
Really gutted about this, perhaps it was inevitable..certainly doesn't take any of the bite out of this.
-
Horrible news, if always a little inevitable? EIther way, if it's motherwell or montrose we're playing next season. I'll still be a fan. Didn't think the club could need fans more than it did when we entered Admin, but it definitely needs all of us now.

If he took a 75% pay cut i assume he is one of our highest earners! OMFG!!! No wonder we are in such a mess.
There was a newspaper article out at some point (I'll try find out) where he claimed he wasn't one of the high earners, but he loves the club so much he asked to take 75%, and that he's been living essentially from his savings since as his 25% wage isn't enough to cover his overheads. We've all had our say on some poor performances from kirk, but the guy genuinely loves the club.
-
It's 75% of the total debt. Tempted to pap a picture of the statute books, send it to sky and ask them to get something right for once.

The problem is, the SFA seemingly have shot themselves in the foot. They stated that expulsion from the league, or not being allowed into the scottish cup, was too strict a punishment. So, now that they've been found to have acted ultra vires....what can they do? Return to punishments they themselves labelled too severe to impose? (not least because of the repercussions of removing us from either of the competitions) 3 supposedly very intelligent people that were on that panel have made a very poor mistake, that's made them a laughing stock. Surely they had a copy of the SFA's regulations in front of them, that said they could impose a,b or c...It's baffling
-
Amazing news, but the next move will be odd. What's going to happen? Will the SPL even have the right to charge us AGAIN for bringing the game into disrepute under the same circumstances.
-
I think the point this guy is trying to make is that by us going to a civil court we are in breach of FIFA rules. FIFA will instruct the SFA therefore to deal with it quickly or risk themselves being punished with the likes of scotland ie national side, and all clubs getting a world ban by FIFA.
The rules do state that one such sanction they can impose is expulsion,,im not sure but I think FIFA can also direct them on such action also. If we stick to our guns tho, its a lose lose for the SFA,but if FIFA step in we could well be shooting ourself in the foot. Either way its dodgy ground and hard now for either us or the SFA to back out and still save face.
But if the expel us, it's because we've appealed to the highest court in the land, obtained a ruling in our favour and the SPL's response is "Get tae....." Then there's a whole raft of moves for us to make, none ending well for the SPL.

As previously stated, if you're a small business you're essentially along for the ride. CVA's go through provided agreement of the creditors equivelant to 75% of the debt. However, successful CVA's are pretty rare. In Scotland in 2011 there was only 14. Then again, they weren't dealing with something like Rangers.
-
I must admit it makes me chuckle that now we have a support who know how to spell CVA, Liquidation, Administration, EBT etc many of them now think they are the sharpest Corporate tools in the box. Fuckin priceless reading some of the stuff on here about Dave King being 'stupid, naive' and the likes. This is the guy who left Castlemilk with a tenner and ends up with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) describing him a probably the richest man in South Africa.
Dave King is NOT one of TBK. He may well have provided them with working capital had they won, but he may do that with any owner.
He is the one director that Whyte was unable to oust, and he is hanging on for a reason.
I would trust Dave King before ANY other name that has passed through our doors in recent time with intentions of running our club.
He has applied to the SFA for 'fit and proper person' approval now that SARS have let him start trading again. I'm sure he had mentioned before that without that he wouldn't openly join any bidders.
There is only ONE person in the recent history of our Club who has put their hands in their pocket and passed across serious hard cash and that was Dave King to the tune of £20m for no return.
Dave King is the ONLY real Rangers man we have left who is still inside the Club (he is Rangers through and through)who is capable of playing a part in the running of the Club.
So for all you guys who are ready to shoot him down in preference to a crowd of guys who we have still to find out about, at least give the guy credit for what he HAS done to date.
Great Post.

"Jig loves a tackle, and a wee follow through" hahaha, quality. Thanks for posting

Horrific but to be expected really. Wonder if any appeal to CAS would allow there to be lee-way, allowing the summer transfer window. Can't remember if Chelsea were afforded that?
-
I'd absolutely adore this, hopefully it can come about due to abolition of embargo/deal worked out.
-
And slater responded that his agent/ the admins have had a bid in.
-
Perhaps a few who claim to be "in the know" should seek out and read the release of an e-mail from Mr Kennedy's lawyer to Duff & Duffer which rips the lie to shreds.
Serious allegations of mis-representing the bid and its details, so ask yourself why ? Why would D & P lie about what the leading bid form a group in the process from day one was actually presented, to chase 2 "new" bidders who have simply appeared overnight with no due diligence or history to refer to.
Criminal !
What people forget is that if anything happens, a judge will see what's sitting on D&P's desk, the full written bids by all parties and any communication that occurred between the two. The admins don't just walk out the doors at the end-whatever way that may be, into the sunset unquestionably. Everything they do will be scrutinised. People conveniently forget that little fact. If D&P are doing anything criminal they'll be found out, and disbarred/sacked. Kennedy or the Admins may be lying, to save face. Who cares what the media says, I care what's actually on that written offer, and what a judge will say.
-
Matt Slater has been pretty spot on at all times. Shame about Naisy, gutting really.
-
They did know apparently, no source naming but if admin want to PM me, I'll confirm.
Apparently all was known about Whyte, including the SFA being aware of his murky past/inability to fund the club. In the words of my source "even the SFA knew he couldn't rub two 5'ers together" but Lloyds- seeing the return of their money, forced Murray to sell.
-
TBK have already admitted it is too late for anything else
It was always going to be a newco.
Maybe now that a newco is confirmed inevitable, all the bids will be treated the same and the pretence otherwise will stop.
But I doubt it.
The same TBK who today told everyone they'd met the admin's £11m offer, except...they can actually only give over half of that today, the rest is conditional. Face it, none of us know anything indepth about this.
