  1. Typical head up your arse comment.

When Murray spent we all thought we could afford it. We had no idea that our transfer dealing where being handled poorly or that bad televisions deal where round the corner. Hindsight is a funny thing though.

If you honestly think that by denying the bank business they are just going to say "There's only one way out of this, give Rangers loads of Money" then you either stupid or crazy.

We mean fuck all to the bank and taking our accounts elsewhere will not change that. The bank is being a complete an utter cunt to us but we;ve got ourselves into this mess and it's within their right to get their money back. I hate it but tha's jsut the way it is.

    Two questions now:

    1) Do you know how debt works?

    2) Since you obviously don't, then can I get a loan of a few hundred quid?

I wonder if you maybe should have taken a little time to think about ripping the pish out of this member?

You say that he made a head up the arse comment and then you go on to state you thought we could afford the spending that was happening and then, you ask him if he knows how debt works.

I think you forgot to consider that, like most football teams, the club business is run around loans and overdrafts and that there are very few teams out there that can boast to be buying players from real hard earned cash.

So, if anyone had their head up their arse, it might have been those who thought David murray was spending £12M on Tore Andre Flo from his own personal bank account!

  2. Probably the same mob who leave after 65 mins every other saturday now.

What is wrong with a season ticket holder opting to leave early?

We leave 5-10 minutes early most weeks simply because we have a long drive home and if we don't, the journey home would take over 2 hours. Couple that with the fact we have to leave home at 12pm, in order to get there in plenty of time, you might understand that people leaving early might have a reason and as they pay their ticket price and dedicate a lot of personal time to watch their team.

Rangers supporter I am, glory hunter I am not!

  3. As he is not a Rangers fan, he should go. I look at previous players who managed to play in Serie A and they look so proud when describing some of their memories.

As a fan, I do not want him to go but if he does - either by a purchase or seeing out his contract, i would shake his hand and thank him for both contracts he served at Ibrox.

  4. David Goodwillie might be the next best striker for Rangers but he should not have the pressure of having to secure a title as soon as he signs. Kenny Miller has scored an abundance of goals this season to hide the fact that we let the highest goalscorer of the previous season leave for nothing. Kenny must be proud of himself for doing so.

I would rather sell Miller for 600k than sell McGregor. We can get Goodwillie for a million and he will finish the feeds he is given but replacing a top class goalkeeper is a different story

  5. He's always had good things to say about Miller as well tho, even back to his Scotland days.

I honestly think it's nothing to do with Walter and Ally, and everything to do with Lloyds.

Walter has been a father figure to Ally and I am certain he will be consulting Ally in every player he considers, but Ally is not in charge just now and will not make any final decision on players until he is.

I have said it before and will again, Lloyds setup a business plan with Rangers and that will have included their terms on offers made for playing staff. Fans need to realise that Rangers FC are not in control of their destiny until the Lloyds debt is paid off.

  6. If it is confirmed in the next few days/weeks that he's signed a pre contract agreement with some club, watch all the 'keep him til the end of the season and fuck the money' mob immediately change their opinion

As Mutu has left Fiorentina already, i doubt those fans will get the chance. I am certain they will offer the already accepted £650k offer from Birmingham, to have him now.

Reading the Italian press releases, they want him now.

Good luck to him. I always backed him and was pleased to see him return, even though most bears boo'd his return.

  7. Get a grip?

Nobody that played for *them* and then joined us is here with his heart. Hes here for the money and when someone offers him more money he will go.

To be fair to KB, he never said Miller is a Rangers man, he stated that a £7k wage reduction would not be accepted by a Rangers man, never mind any other player.

Rangers cannot hold onto players now - simple. I wondered if it was Walter Smith who vetoed an improved offer for Kris Boyd as he did not value his services but Walter values Kenny Millers' services and still we are offering shit wages.

Why should Kenny Miller stay at Rangers? Would you stay with your employer if they asked you to reduce your salary by a third?

  8. I remember the dark days a couple of seasons ago when fellow bears were asking for Barry ferguson's head on a platter. The argument was he was keeping Davis from playing his better position. So it is encouraging that some people now realise that this was not true and Davis is not actualy a central midfielder. I would play McCulloch in there before Davis!

I would love to see Davis dropped and Ness brought in. Ness looks the business but Fleck could do the job if needed, as can naisy.

  9. Well it may not have been a rule per say, we just didnt have any foreigners, because we didnt need them.

    ;)

God knows why i thought that rule was in place back then haha My apologies mate, sorry.

No probs mate, i knew what you meant :)

  10. Rangers reached 3 finals with that rule in place, winning 1 Euro trophy.

Celtic reached 2 finals winning 1.

It wasnt a bad rule, money and more foreigners hurt the Scottish game in Europe more.

Walter still plays the 3 foreigner rule does he not? :)

    (tu)

We were in 3 European finals between 1991 and 1996? Boy I must of drank a lot back then!

  11. I too have fond memories of that season, but I also take into account some of the truly horrendous results and performances we were treated to at a time when the manager had everything going for him.

Yes, I agree and at the tail end of Walters first reign, I wanted a freshness as I always felt he did not have what it took for Europe. SDM found Advocaat and gave him the funding to try and break Europe - a dream we all bought into

  12. Forgetting you cherry-picking games to suit, who funded that dream? If you were fishing, you've got me, but I doubt it.

    What the hell?

I did not cherry pick games, I have fond memories of the European exploits that took us to a whisker from a final with AC Milan, only to then find out Marseille were bribing referee's.

I was not fishing and I don't give a shit if you have bitten - with that attitude you would be going straight back in the water

  13. broomloan family section br2 me and the young un,good view but would like to try govan rear but could,nt afford that for the 2 of us so stuck with the broomie for now, also think its shit that the wee lad does,nt get a ticket for tims game as he goes to every other game at home and we go to as many away as we can get to which is more than half.

BR2 for me too. I don't go to the Celtic games - will wait until my lad can attend with me.

  14. I don't see what is confusing everyone. Rangers were asked to draw up a business plan by the bank and within that plan, would have been the required transfer kitty for the SEASON - this plan was accepted by Lloyds bank, with all other money coming in, paying off debts.

Now, just because the club earned a decent wage from the Champions League, the fans expect more money for transfers - well it don't work like that in the real world. Walter has had his kitty, as agreed with the bank, and he has blew it. He was absolutely mad to buy a player for £4.5M when he knew that was the majority of his budget. Even if the guy stayed fit all season, he was never a proven goalscorer, so it was a gamble.

We have a debt to the bank and the bank want it paid - simple.

One thing to remember - if the bank feel that Rangers are not honouring their business plan, they could take us into administration and then where would we be?

I respect your desire for harmony at Ibrox but that is not going to happen until Rangers FC is bought by a new owner or the debts are paid in full.

  15. It annoys me to hear fans berate Sir David Murray for funding a dream. It was not just his dream, it was my dream and most probably, the dream of all bears. You cannot have that dream and support the team through it, only to come out the other side and turn on Murray for speanding money on it.

Rangers were awesome during NIAR and will be again, but for the foreseeable future, we are in a state of holding our own. I accept that and will continue to support my club, without turning on owners or management.

    Rangers 2-1 Leeds United

    Leeds united 1-2 Rangers

    Oh the memories!
