  1. Tbh that article doesn't read to me as saying that we doubt his recovery and commitment. And there has been uncertainty regarding his future, as there has been with all connected with Rangers.

The story, albeit being a crock of shit, reads to me as being a positive one rather than a negative, as Naismith has ended speculation from his side with regards to his future, and has basically said he will be back to his best. I'm happy with that.

  2. Here are my two cents, for what it's worth...

At the end of the day, any league needs at least two teams who have a chance of winning the title each year. Without any competition, viewing numbers go down as people become disillusioned by a one horse race. A two horse race is still far from ideal, but it's much better commercially.

Now, nobody needs lectured on how the Scottish game's declining. European success has been not existent for a while, and that doesn't really look set to change. Where the cream of the SPL used to go to either the Old Firm or the Premiership, many are now going to Championship/League One teams. Quality's going down. The last thing the game needs is the competition taken away.

If a billionaire came in and took over another club, pumping in a tonne of money, then the governning bodies could afford to punish Rangers. However, there's no indication whatsoever that this is gong to happen.

If upheld, these sanctions would effectively kill off Rangers' chances of a title challenge next year, and perhaps the year after too. It looks likely that key players are going to be sold regardless of a CVA/transfer ban, with lesser quality being brought in to replace them (should ban be repealed).

I think that the SFA know all this too. That's why putting the ban in place allows them to look strong and tough, even though it was an independent panel who decided upon it. On the flipside, when the ban gets lifted, they can play the 'it was out of our hands' card, as yet again, it was an independent panel. Then, the feeling will be that it was the mythical threats made to the previous panel members that influenced their decision. This allows people to be even more angry at Rangers.

At the end of the day, Rangers are the second most supported club in Scotland, only behind the anti-Rangers crowd. And although they hate to admit it, they love it when we get away with things, when they feel there's been a miscarriage of justice. It massages their persecution complex; a condition rampant in this country.

So my prediction: the ban will be lifted, and people get to hate Rangers even more, making everybody happy.

Good post, however what figures prove that Rangers are the second most supported team and not the first? Just curious.

  3. Got my grubby flippers on Tom Millers speech will knock up a video for it today.

RM and Twitter will be the first to get it.

Ps. wish you were a burd

Spot on mate, don't wanna tell you to suck eggs but I reckon some iconic pics of this season, such as Wallace and Aluko celebrating, Mccoist looking dapper etc will make it epic. As I said though, you already knew that

    P.S wink wink old-man-winking1.jpg

  4. the day that MILLER and his guaranteed newco was named pb I described as the day the ranger died.

newco = death of the rangers.

just how I see it and many agree with me.

the alternative isn't worse its the same.

still green wants a cva and d&p want liquidation let's see who wins.

TBK's were never going to be able to deliver a CVA with the sum of money they were going to put in. Green's consortium stand a better chance of securing one. If that fails, then newco is a viable- albeit not preferential - alternative that TBK's would have turned to as well.

You really need to let go and get behind this. What is done is done.

  5. Shame ye couldny screen grab it

I jumped over to see if I could, however, after noticing they have had 1537 pages on Rangers in the last month, I decided it would be better to probably just leave it.

1537 pages, 30000 views, 3 MILLION views, in 5 weeks.

I despise the pricks in the below convo, but they aren't wrong:

  6. Well going by the description of him my taxi driver mate was surprised to say the least that it was a young lady he met and not a young bhoy

LOL @ the gullible Bheasts :sherlock:

    :)

I was fucking creasing maself, didn't want to come on here and admit I had looked at that webshite though, I felt aw dirty and stuff, I wasn't thinking straight :disappointment:

  7. Hmmm, this sounds like Stewart Regan, do you have a description of him by any chance?

On a side note, I was on the kiddyfiddlers obsessive Rangers thread a couple of weeks back looking for some medicine to cheer me up. One of your previous taxi driver posts appeared on there, which the tarriers were taking very seriously and were discussing the validity of it.

    Fucking priceless

  8. Chris has better things to do with his time. ;-) This is just a hobby for me - which makes you wonder why, if it's their job, they can't do it a little better....

Absolutely fantastic article. Get this forwarded to Mr Green/D&P whoever. I would love to see SFA challenge this logical reasoning :praise:

  9. am i fuck, he's still a cunt, although he is a brave cunt for doing what others wouldnt dare do, there is no doubt that having a debt to Lloyds and (if we do) losing the big tax case would have been the end game, no ifs no buts and no maybes, Lloyds would have wound us up for their money

    I was being sarcastic

You are right, he is a cunt, but if we get through all this with minimum damage from the BTC and everything else then I think he has done a pretty good job, assuming that his job was to come and do what he did.

Again though, I am really not too sure if he was here to do that or if he was genuinely just a delusional fantasising egotistical conman.

  10. A Newco is simply a new company running the same football club. Therefore, as I understand it, instead of The Rangers Football Club plc running the club it will be something else. The history will remain.

If we become a new football club, then that is when the history is lost as it remains with the current club.

I could be wrong but that's how I think it works. Or at least that's how it should work.

Cheers, I hope you are right.

  11. It's not a question of history being taken away, it's

"Are we still the same Rangers as before?"

    The answer is of course.

That isn't the question I am asking though, is it. I want to know as to whether we can officially transfer over our titles etc to a Rangers playing under a newco, or do we have to start from scratch.

Either way, history is history and can't be changed but I am interested in the actual answer.
