I honestly don't see us winning this game.
McGregor
Whittaker Bougherra Goian Papac
Davis McCulloch Edu Wallace
Jelavic Naismith
Might see that.
Scrappy 0-1 to the Bears. Jelavic after around 72 minutes.

Muff, 'the St. Johnstone'?
I know it's been a tough night but come on!
I think "the" was included as in the title as in "the St Johnstone game thread" if you get what I mean. Still doesn't look right though.

Nothing more than an emergency option against SPL fodder by the look of things. His heart is clearly in the right place, but it's equally obvious that he's no longer Rangers class.
He never was Rangers class.

I can't believe this, since when was Rule Britania deemed offensive or sectarian? unless there are other words to it.
Maybe a letter should be sent to No10 informing them of this fact.
I thought the Polis didn't even have a list of banned sectarian songs except for TBB
They don't. They're making up the law as they go along.

we hear about this all the time. If this did actually happen then get down to Ibrox tomorrow and demand a meeting with the club. Do something about it. Knowing our club, they probably don't know of any problems until UEFA come knocking with another "Rangers fans sung a bad song" statement and they're forced to act on something they've only got one side of the story to.
Unless someone informs the club, face to face, they won't have a clue what's happened tonight. Emails will be ignored. As will letters.

They absolutely despise us and the amount of times that i have had to shut them up in their hatred for Rangers must be in the hundreds !
And then i see idiots on here sucking them off !
Makes me puke !
Are you talking on behalf of a few million fans or just the one or two you know? Sir Alex Ferguson, their manager, is a Rangers man. Does he hate Rangers too?
For what it's worth. The United players all look shattered. That's just after training and they're probably a bit desperate to get back to the hotel.

That's the spirit!!

I didnt even see the Plan A.
Exactly what I was planning on posting. No use worrying about a plan B before we've got a plan A.

I felt so depressed when we lost but now I'm actually starting to believe
Always the same. We just can't help ourselves.
We are the people!

"The third qualifying round will be split into two separate sections: one for champions (called the Champions Route) and one for non-champions (called the League Route). The losing teams in both sections will enter the play-off round of the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League."
Wikipedia.
Niceone! Thanks for that.

After letting the anger settle down, the ones to blame tonight are the players. The lack of effort in the last two games was nothing short of a disgrace I know i would run myself into the ground if i was playing under McCoist as he after all a Rangers legend but these players don't seem to give a damn and i think when you add the fact that they are all on awesome wages it just adds up to a sad state of affairs. Are the players that silly to think they can play like that and Ally will remain in a job? Its time this bunch showed Ally some respect as they once did Walter and start to try and win matches. Yes Whytes to blame to some extent for not spending what was required to get the targets signed but this current team is a 3 in a row winning team which should be capable of beating Hearts and Malmo, i fear its more a case of they don't care enough to beat Hearts and Malmo and that for me is inexcusable!
As much as I agree with the sentiment. You can't win anything without any sort of game plan. The squad, as it stands, isn't much stronger than last year and was in need of improvements anyway. Thus far we've signed a right winger to play on the left and a back up LB..

The commentators on the stream mentioned that Rangers had NEVER came back from a first leg defeat at Ibrox
On the evidence of tonight we'll be dropping into the Europa unfortunately
Fairly sure we drop out of Europe all together if this Swedish mob beat us next week.
-
Just back from Ibrox and I fail to see how getting on or players backs and Booing them at Both HT/FT helps anyone. These players and management need our 100% backing. Many times during the 90mins All I could here was the malmo fans!!! Thats simply not good enough at Ibrox. Many of our players looked scared to get on the ball tonight Edu and whitts especially. That was not good to see.
We need to back this team starting on Saturday
I agree. Although big Mo has looked scared for the last 8 months.
-
Can't see it. Big players MUST perform if we've even got a chance of scoring. Jelavic, Bougherra, Shagger, Davis, Naismith and to some extent either Jig or Edu.
-
It was radio only for me tonight, he got booked for diving, was it harsh?
He certainly seemed to be one of our fitter players tonight.
Not really. I'm surprised the ref acted to be honest because it was one of those where he knocked it passed the full back but over hit it so took a chance and went down. Rolled out for a goal kick so the yellow card wasn't necessary but letter of the law and all that.

I still want creativity in midfield... Templeton.
He's a taig, is he not? Wouldn't think twice about signing for us regardless of how much we want him.
-
eh? What have they said that is wrong? This is the type of shite we associate with the taigs. Looking for anything to moan about after a defeat.
-
Lets be honest, there is no chance Papac is going to be dropped to the bench for him. He should be, but he wont be for the same reason Ally offered Weir a contract extension, the same reason Edu, Whittaker and McCulloch will be the first names on the team sheet; Ally doesn't have the balls for the job. It's almost as if Ally thinks he owes these players something, and thats something i noticed under Walter as well.
Papac should be dropped for Wallace because despite doing nothing wrong, he isn't as good or as fast. Thats how football works and if he can't deal with that he shouldnt be a footballer. Ally is too scared to be hated by anybody.
Good post.
Ally is too nice for this managerial lark, I fear.
-
He'll end up in England.
-
blame walter smith he brain washed him.
FFS.
Unbelievable. One of the greatest managers in our history brainwashed our latest manager. Oh God no!!
-
Sasa is first choice and I can't see that changing. Whether we agree with that or not.
The only positive from tonight aside from McGregor but his performance isn't exactly a surprise.
-
He looked fucked when he was heading towards the tunnel mind. But then you could say he resembled a 41 year old playing professional football. Think this is one season too many for the big man.
-
If we play 3 at the back ever again, I'll lose the plot. The players don't know who to mark, they have no idea how to play in this formation. Nobody cares if it can turn into a 5 in the middle attacking formation. Get it to fuck!
This is where Ally's inexperience will come back to haunt us imo. It's almost as if he was playing football manager tonight.

He's a top top player but come on. He's come from Rapid Vienna, not Barcelona. Playing with some decent players and some halfwits won't be anything new.
