Drew McIntyre is in the WWE. Maybe he can convince Vince McMahon?
not a chance...but the British bulldog might be worth a shout.

no idea, although it would be nice to hear news about a celeb consortium - similar to that of Portsmouth and Brian Howe (bad company).

a friend of a friend (he was a tim) came out with the jelly and ice cream patter last night. My response was a simple one, asking why he was so obsessed with children's party foods...
Do they use it as bait or something?

Undoubtedly Walter Smith should be on the board. Also as a wild card appointment, I'd throw Jeff Randall's name into the hat.

The opening post was the inane ramblings of someone who actually believes the world is out to get us. And I noticed that "us" wasn't defined with any consistency.
I concluded that if those were his actual beliefs, he was a bit of an idiot. He put his point across quite well, but the premise was stooopid.
I expected it to resonate with a similar idiotic tendencies.
As you said, here here.
My reply was actually based on the OPs "no surrender" attitude. I can see your point (re conspiracy theories) and ultimately we have brought the current situation upon ourselves.
I do believe that as fans we have to back our club to the hilt (a theme that was apparent in the OP).

Like it or lump it, Super Ally will be here until (at least) the end of the season.
I'd imagine that very few managers would want to touch the current Rangers job: limited squad base and no immediate funds to bring in players (not to mention a closed transfer window excl free agents).
I actually wanted Butcher as the successor to Walter.
-
The fact that his sentiments resonated with you is no surprise given what you subsequently posted as a result.....
and your point is...?
-
No Surrender.

I don't think anyone here can really provide an answer as to what's going on. Educated guess work at best.
My plan is simple...continued support for the team.

Here here OP!

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself"
Once said by Franklin D Roosevelt on the subject of the Great Depression.
Those indeed are wise words, now let me quote another great man - Bill Struth...
"Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers."
To me, the above is the epiphany of our club, it's our core, our mantra. External influences have and will continue to hound our club, individuals and organisations will try to threaten our very existence. However we will always be here. NO ONE can eradicate our traditions or honour. Be us in administration, a lower division or even a Sunday league I will ALWAYS be proud to say that I support the Glasgow Rangers...no matter what.
I know for a fact that I won't be alone in saying this. We're all cut from the same cloth, for us there is only one team in the world and we play in the red, white and blue.
"No Surrender" is a lot more than a ditty belted out by our supporters. It summarises our club from grass roots level upward. Cast in steel and galvanised by thousands of loyal fans. It signifies each and every one of us standing tall and proud, united in the face of adversity. If there's ever been a time to stand up and be counted, it is now.
(Apologies for making my first post on this forum a long one. I just felt the need to vocalise my support for our side. Broad or narrow, good or bad, we will follow on.)

additional shirt sponsorship?
in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Posted
i'm unsure of the specific contract we have with Tennent's (e.g did we agreed to have them as our sole sponsor or are we allowed more than one?), but does anyone think it would be feasible to add an additional sponsor to our shirt?
personally i'd love to see the telecoms firm Orange logo somewhere on our strip, probably on the back.
