Its lose lose either way anyways,,, if we lose the tax case then you would expect that to put off any buyer,, but should we win it, HMRC have already said that they will just keep on appealing the decision. That would be just as bad imo,, leaving the club and any potential buyer with years of further uncertainty and insecurity.
Best outcome is a deal,, but there dosent seem to appear to be any sign of one yet
we need a verdict on this tax case
ridiculous it's taken this amnount of time
Frankly
if beaurocracy is preventing Rangers from moving forward,
we need to do something about it
first, the verdict on the big tax case has got to be within the next week
they've had long enough, let's hear it
-
Surely the Administrators can put pressure on the verdict to be released, and if there is real threats of liquidation then you'd think HMRC would want to find out the verdict sooner rather than later also.
I honestly can't get the thought out my head though that if we had lost horribly, it wouldn't have taken this long.
Slightoptimisimloyal.
MSP's and MP's can put pressure on any civil service tribunal to get their arse in gear
We need to tell them to show a bit of urgency
I'm beginning to think this big tax case isn't so big at all
-
that must be about 100 times this has been posted one way or another, and yet the answer is still the same
HMRC are not deciding the tax case, it is 3 neutral judges
yes you're right
Tribunal get your finger out
but I'm guessing that their verdict has already been made
and it's red tape holding it up
we need to put pressure on this hold up, preferably to get that verdict before 16'th March (think that was the date Administraters gave for offers)
but there's no way this should take so long,

There is no one going to buy us in this accelerated sale without knowing the result of the big tax case
HMRC have prevaricated since last year
we were told mid January when it ended, 6-----8 weeks until we know, although why we'd have to wait that long is beyond me
but for some reason it's taking longer...April's the new date
delay is damaging us and preventing a buy out
we need to put pressure on the tribunal to deliver a verdict in the next 2 weeks
then we'd all know where we stood!

That's the thing, we have the upper hand when u think about it. No RFC in spl, no sky.
Spl offer us re-entry with penalties, we say no thank u. They are then left with the dilema, morals over money.
And cash is king
if cash is indeed king then we won't pull out of the SPL where we'd earn more money than Division 3
That's why I want fans calling the shots at Ibrox and not money men
As long as we have enough money to hang onto Ibrox and Auchenhowe, I would rather we went to Division 3 rather than accept crippling penalties from the SPL
-
If new money men take over our club, then they'll take the hit and stay in the SPL
If fans are running the show, then we go to Div 3....and spread the money amongst others
We'd be barred from Europe anyway and draconian points deductions would mean we'd win nothing there anyway
We wouldn't need big earners for a couple of years so my vote would be for Div 3 and cut our cloth as long as we can finance Ibrox and Auchenhowie
The SPL must be cacking its pants right about now...

if we can't fulfill our fixtures
we will be relegated to Division 1
and yesterday Doncaster was telling us we couldn't play in the SFL
