  1. My old man took me to my first game when I was eight years old - but for my mum and her perpetual fear it would have been sooner. As years of your life go being eight wasn't exactly the most eventful stage of my life. In truth I'm at a loss to recall any event in that year with any real level of clarity. The exception being the first time I saw Rangers. I can go on and on about that day and what it meant but I'm sure a few of you have already come to the conclusion that you've given this emotional drivel as much time as it warrants. However, this isn't the point of my post - more a preface.

To me, like so many others, Rangers is more than a football team. It's something that the missus will never understand. I'll admit that in my short time as a Rangers fan I've been spoilt, but as with any bear, what our club has had to endure these past years has become almost unbearable (absolutely no pun intended). I feel as though the club I love so dear has been stripped bare, cast down in front of the world and then dragged through the streets naked. Individuals who know little of football, and even less of our team, have even heard of the "cheats" from Glasgow.

Everyone of our enemies seek to maintain this humiliation. They seek to forever rape our club. And it for this very reason that we have to start in division 3. This isn't about getting back at hypocrite clubs or disrupting Liewell's plans (although I do take some joy from such actions). This is about protecting the legacy of Rangers. Never let it be said that we were helped back onto our feet by fellow clubs who took pity on the lowly Rangers. No, we will never accept division 1, because like everything else our club has achieved, we will do it on our own merit. We will do so through our blood, sweat and tears along with the voices of the Ibrox faithful spurring us on.

And when we claw our way back to top of this cesspool of hatred, deceit and corruption I await the day when I can take my own son to Ibrox and show him the true beauty of Rangers. I say these words now not because they have become commonplace among our support but because their meaning has never been so apparent to me; No Surrender.

that's all I ever say it keeps me sane.

from the 13 gallant men who closed the gates of derry

to the 13 gallant men who turned up for training

this message is a simple one

    NO SURRENDER

  2. Spot on. McCann had the benefit curse of being from a "cetlic minded" background but apart from that there are many parallels.

I'm amazed and dismayed that so many on here are condemning Green and the consortium for being honest about wanting to make a profit. Why the fuck would investors invest if it wasn't to get a return?

The only way that these guys can make their profit is for Rangers to become a financially viable and successful club which will have income from on-field success, a much more astute marketing of our brand and an academy system which allows us to bring on and sell on the cream of young Scottish talent.

ffs don't mention cream and young scottish talent in the same sentence the mhanky mhob will be wanking themselves crazy

  3. St. Mirren are CURRENTLY in a healthy state. They are in serious trouble if Rangers get the MAXIMUM penalty (3rd Div.) as thats quite a long time without our cash!

Thats how I read it anyway.

as far as I'm concerned I'll be choosing what away games to go to and the PAISLEY FUDDIES won't be fucking one of them

  4. all I've heard for months is oldco/newco and I'm doing my best to get behind charlie but I'm fucked to to find a reason why we should apologise for what went before a more suitable statement would have been

1)we have acquired david murrays walking sticks

2)we have used said sticks to batter fuck out of craig whyte

3)we will not bow to taig pressure

4)G.I.R.U.Y get an apology from murray mint and shitey whytey

5)we will be keeping david murrays sticks so that he can't do walking away either.

RANGERS F.C born and bred until I'm dead

  5. I was just looking to get the general opinion of Green from this site. I've only recently registered for RM, been on FF for a couple of years but the place is awash with taigs and it seems if you don't toe the party line then you are either banned or accused of being a taig yourself.

The general opinion on there seems to be that Green is a conman and we have to do everything we can to get him out. Now I'm not going to say that I trust the guy, he has to earn that, but am I the only person who thinks that protesting against Green and refusing to back the club might actually do more harm than good? Am I the only person that wants to go and see Rangers no matter who is in charge?

As I said, just looking to get a fresh perspective on our current predicament as looking at FF you would think it was all over.

no bud you are not alone I'm same as you we've got to give him a chance and let him try to get us back where we belong
