  1. I'd have said to Brentford, double your bid or fuck off.

    -------------------

All clubs know our financial position. They have us over a barrel and know we will accept a lesser fee. To be honest, we have seen that manky mob do it for years in Scotland to sign players like Fernandez, McDonald, Pearson and Sylla. Teams will only pay what they have to and know the board need the money for us to survive.

  2. peeps glad to see the back of law and some even saying wallace too are missing the bigger picture in my view. law was on peanuts at motherwell not his fault Ally decides to quintuple his wages plus add a massive win bonus for beating the shite we played last year.

Also was never coached properly so if he is going, good luck you are a better player than what we have seen, And dont expect him to be playing in a midfield 2. Unless Ally gets the Huddersfield job.

My 'Well supporting mate has said he was on around £1800 basic but was heavily bonus driven.

On that note, how does out bonus structure work? Should we not be looking at low basic wages and high bonus/rewards?

  3. This guy needs to be ruthless and him not having a Rangers connection is a blessing. Tough job for him but by Christ it is needed!

This is what could save us from going down the tubes. We will need to accept that the playing squad is going to be reduced massively and any players we can get rid of will leave (for less than their true value).

I believe this guy can turn us around. Going to be a massive few weeks for us all.

  4. MacLeod owes us nothing. He has put in 100% everytime he has pulled on the jersey. We are also going to receive a fee for him going, unlike some of the players who left a few years ago.

People need to wake up and realise the position we are in. We are no longer a heavyweight and clubs like Brentford have far more resources at their disposal than we do. Money talks!

  5. Get him punted asap coward.. Also people asking Jackson about black moving to the sheep he said it was untrue prob means he be gone to

    ------------------------------

It was a wind up. Aberdeen had posted a job advert for a painter and decorator.

Nicky Law is a very talented player but in recent months seems to lack the appetite for a battle, which isn't too different to most of the squad. Saying that I think he would be a huge asset in the SPL and would be tempted to keep him. He was superb for Motherwell before we signed him and reckon he would replicate that if the style of football suited.

  6. If people can make up stories and sell it as gospel so can I...if he goes to brentford it will be a huge step down..they will slowly lose touch with championship leaders

It is a step down from a crowds perspective but he will be playing with better players, against better players, better prospects for progression to EPL (with or without Brentford) and will also earn more cash.

    Anything but a step down!

  7. Is protesting fashionable these days with the cool kids? I cringe on almost a weekly basis when no marks try to arrange one. Media pick up on it and 25 people are filmed outside the main door at Ibrox looking like a Boys Brigade outing.

Leave the protesting to the pant soilers from the East End!

  8. £1m. Reckon that is about what he is valued at just now. Has superb potential but we need to remember that he has only been playing 3rd to 1st division. Some of the best players in the top league in Scotland move between clubs for a lot less than £1m.

Brentford might not be the most glamorous club but might not be the worst move. Hopefully he plays every week (when fit!) and can improve further, living up to his potential.

Good luck to him. Don't blame him for escaping the circus that is going on at the moment! we just limp from one issue to the next.

  9. A lot of very very rough calculations going on.

Not saying the £120k salary is justified but his role would also include all the youth teams, management, training kits, supplier management etc.

Still massively overpaid but it's not just about looking after 16 guys on a Saturday.

  10. I would honestly have us at a bigger price. I really don't think we will win it. I'd love us to do it, obviously, I just do I think it'll happen.

12 points is a big gap but this Hearts team (on paper) are not close to us. If the players get the finger out then there is no reason why we can't put pressure on them. With their young squad with little experience they could well crack under the pressure. Massive match at the end of Jan.

  11. Despite not feeling great about the McDowall appointment, I really do think we are overpriced at 6/1 to win the league (Bet365).

Hearts have a young team and injuries/Suspensions are going to kick in at the later stages of the season.

I've got a £35 free bet and reckon I'm going to fire it on at those odds.

Anyone else having a wee flutter?

  12. The board clearly want Durrant to walk away with no package by demoting and hoping he is too proud to take the step down.

Despite the failures that is a shoddy way to treat any employee at any company.

I also don't think we will see much change on the pitch. The same shit football with the same shit players. People like McCulloch, Daly and Foster are going to be selected. I thought we might get a wee lift when McCoist left but if anything I feel a bit more deflated.
