  1. Nobody has had their money back

So they should go to the FSA and complain. It's not complicated, if the RST has misappropriated your money you need to complain to the FSA. The only thing I would add is that the company you invested in hasn't actually been struck off yet, have you queried the investment strategy with the CFTTB of the RST because the members did delegate investment responsibility to them?

  2. It appears that you haven't understood the difference between the RST and GerSave. Do some homework first. :(

Before I go, Gersave is what? A scheme of the RST, so the difference is what? There needs to be an accountable entity yes? The entity accountable for Gersave is the RST yes? The RST is a mutual company registered with the FSA on the Mutuals Register yes? The rules are approved by the FSA yes?

Homework? What planet are you on, you clearly do not understand the make up of entity. If you want to complain about RST conduct you need to go to the FSA and complain collectively about the actions of the members of the RST and its CFTTB. It conducts itself according the rules it lodges with the FSA.

Actually only the members can complain.

  3. his has been part of the plan all along, even had one guy reading from the script about how he had his money returned, then others suddenly appearing to add to the wonder of the rst, tell you want hare krishna and charles manson could learn a lot from the ffrst 10310.gif

I take it I'm part of the miraculous appearance then? To be honest your comments on socialism in your footer make your abberation of community work quite clear.

I take it I'm one of the miraculous few. Your comments on socialism on your footer make your abberation of community movements quite clear to be honest.

  5. Are you trying to imply that GerSave isn't regulated? The boss wept. :(

Regulated by what? The Financial Services & Markets Act 2005 - no it's not. All the questions your man asked are only pertinent to FSMA regulated firms. The RST are regulated by the I&PS Act.

  6. So, if you are correct and the questions re client money fall out of scope, the other questions remain in connection with Direct Sharedeal and the statutory trust account question is replaced by an interest baring account?

In all seriousness though, we'll done for being the first to raise your head above the trenches in an attempt to answer. (tu)

Directsharedeal (googled tits up) are (were) an FSA authorised sharedealer. Similar to Grant Thornton. The RST could give members monies to Grant Thornton to invest in ICI if the members gave authority to the CFTTB to doing so. You need to understand the legislation that regulates co-ops rather than corporate entities.

  7. So you are sure without knowing the intricacies that this is not "designated investment business" being carried out in this example. (tu)

If you are right, then its even stranger why they couldnt have answered the questions previously. (tu)

Really I'm not being a smartass, it's a mutual company, check the FSA Mutuals Register, all your doing is making it easy for the RST to rise above you and ignore you because your questions are uninformed.

  8. So you commented on something without knowing the "intricacies" but immediately assumed I made no sense. (tu)

I know that 'client money' references are not relevant. You're questions are all based around 'client money' and 'statutory trusts' and to me that only demonstrates your ignorance of the law applicable to co-operatives.

  9. According to the website the GerSave scheme is operated by Direct Sharedeal under the auspices of the FSA. If as you say it's not regulated then why mention it as part of the website.

I don't know the intricacies of the RST scheme but I do know that mutuals can appoint FSA regulated companies to invest their money.

  10. It's great you got your money back. I don't think it's ever been said or accused that people would lose their money.

It doesn't however answer the questions I set so I will await Chris's reply to see if he can fayre better than others. (tu)

Sorry I'm not really a poster but your questions don't really make any sense. They're based around client money rules and they don't really apply. The fsma doesn't regulate supporter trusts.
