For those who still can still accept this man as a legend despite his penny shares, media interviews, and being the worst manager in our history, check out some info from the court case...

    Ally McCoist's "golden contract"

The trial heard that when Rangers legend Ally McCoist became the club's assistant manager under Walter Smith, there was a penalty clause put into his contract that said if he did not become manager when Smith left, the club was going to have to pay him an "enormous" amount of money. Smith, McCoist's long-term mentor, only seemed to learn the full extent of the deal when he was given details in the witness box. He told defence lawyer Donald Findlay QC: "Mr McCoist obviously negotiates his own contracts, so he's possibly a bit brighter than I am

The man is not a legend. He is a fraud and has only ever been after one thing.

He should be removed from the HOF and never let near Ibrox again.

Do you work for the Craig White deflection society?

I still find it quite funny that Caixinha got slated for saying Aberdeen were coming to the end of their cycle and now they have just released 14 players and will most likely lose 4 of their top 6 players this summer and possibly their manager.

He knew more about Scottish football within a few weeks than all those ignorant fuckwit hacks combined...It also has to be noted that more than a few hand wringers on here jumped on the bandwagon with indecently alarming haste.

Ryan Jack isn't anywhere near top drawer.

Top drawer all play down south earning mega bucks, he's a vast improvement on the pile of gutless shite that wore the shirt last season as big Jock would have said "He's a fighter"...I well remember arguing with mates over Ian Ferguson signing from St Mirren no one could possibly have predicted the magnificent player he would become, me included.  I think Ryan Jack will graft like fuck for the jersey and we will grow to love him.  Although it must be said, there's only one Ian Ferguson.

Is there no escape?  Is it everywhere?  Are the media awash with memories of Lisbon '67 from all and sundry?  I remember reading that John Greig conceded that he wanted Celtic to win that night for Scottish football.  And that the Rangers directors were part of the welcoming party at Glasgow Airport when the Celtic party arrived back from the game.

As I've noted on this site several times , there are some advantages to living over 6, 000 miles away.

FUCK RIGHT OFF!!!!!! I don't read those fucking rags but thanks to you I get this shit shoved in my face...CHEERS

With all that's going on in the world, hard not to be cynical - it comes with age, I guess.   As I said Pedro seems like a decent guy and I am sure the punter enjoyed the moment.

I'm 58 and very cynical but also smart enough to know the real deal which he most certainly is imo, I like the way he talks about football, the club and supporters and I actually think he's a man of integrity but the important part is I'm not afraid of being wrong.

Gordon Smith is an intelligent man and a good Bluenose. I value his opinion a lot more than the social media and message board supporters that want to shield Pedro from any sort of criticism and responsibility just because he's new in the job and hasn't signed a player yet.

I get where he's coming from as I'm less than convinced myself but too early to make a solid judgement yet either way but I don't think the signs are that great.

As I said in the other thread Pedro talks a fantastic game, it's almost like he over-compensates or something if that makes sense. He got this job off the back of talking a superb game at the interview rather than achievements in the game as a manager so there may be something in Smith's comments.

Disagree with Smith's endorsment of a director of football - which I don't think we need.

It's all about opinions and I don't share any of yours.

  7. Aye fucking players should be taking sleeping pill overdoses or they aren't real blue noses...fucking grow up he's smiling for a photy probably through gritted teeth and probably at a pre arranged event, the lad looked shattered at the final whistle and will continue to get my support.

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha angry at dressing room leaks ahead of Old Firm derby

The ceaseless calibration of a Rangers manager’s performance is a rite of passage that – sooner rather than later, usually – is one that must be negotiated carefully by each incumbent. Pedro Caixinha’s test has arrived within five weeks of his appointment and not only because his players failed to provide a cohesive challenge to Celtic in Sunday’s William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final defeat at Hampden Park.

Word had emerged from disenchanted sources within the club that the manager had laid down a pre-season schedule that specified a return to training on June 1, with only a nine-day break after the end of the Scottish Premiership league campaign and that his decree had not gone down well with his squad. When invited to comment, Caixinha’s response was a threat to withdraw co-operation with the media in the event of further leaks.

“You can write what you want but if the respect passes then you’re not counting on me for anything,” he said. “I have already spoken about how much holiday time the players will have

“Our first competitive game is going to be June 29, we normally need five or six weeks pre-season and the season finishes on May 21 so it’s a question of maths. The players don’t need to complain because the plan has not been presented to them yet.

“If someone is doing my work I would appreciate they come and tell me how it’s going to be. At the moment, it’s unofficial and when it is official and when I want you to know it, you will know it from me.

“I am the manager and I am the one that plans the pre-season and the vacation. If I try to live my life by the stories in the newspapers – which I don’t read – then how am I going to live?”

It is, of course, entirely possible to be both sympathetic to Caixinha in respect of the scheduling difficulties imposed by the early advent of the Europa League qualifiers but also to observe the necessity of reporting that the issue has caused dissent within the dressing room. In that regard, Caixinha is nursing wrath towards the source of the leaks.

“If those things are coming from inside it is something I need to find out about and when I find out I will act,” he said. When it was put to Caixinha that he was visibly more agitated than on any of his previous appearance, he replied: “No. You are seeing someone that is clear, is frontal, is open – but everyone has his own limit.

“When I feel I am not being respected, I’m not going to respect. I’m polite, I’m educated but I’m a f***ing tough guy.”
