It may be a bit irrelevant, but today I met a lawyer who is is in effect, about the same status as MB in a law firm in Singapore.
He earns approx 55K a week before tax.
I get the feeling that most people (and I include myself in this), have no real comprehension what top level businessmen earn. I am sure if many posters on here were asked what they get every month, you would be surprised as well. Mental though it may be, 10K a week is more common than you think.
MB is not earning a heap of dough. He is earning what his position would pay, from a club in a bit of financial trouble.
Whether he should accept the increase/bonus, etc? Thats another matter altogether, and a personal choice.

TBH this is just a Chief Execs salary.
Not out the ordinary at all for a biz like The Rangers.
I assume he is doing his job well or he would not get the rise. This is the same as every other company in the world. The only people who get paid large sums for doing nothing work for the Government.

OK, there are protests about his visit, and I agree with this, there are just so many questionable issues regarding the RC religion.
But NPOR at Ibrox is the wrong place and the wrong time, and if sung in Europe will get us into trouble with the UEFA authorities just like the Billy Boys. Europe is vital for Rangers, we cannot take chances.
And how do you think RC players like Jelavic and Weiss feel about it?

Chuffed for him as I am sure I have read before that what Broadfoot may lack in skill he makes up in determination and sheer fitness. Heard he trains harder than anyone else and always willing to do whats asked of him.

Twice in my Rangers life I have seen touts being battered after trying to extort excess cash from punters desperate to see the Gers. On both occasions the tickets were subsequently "obtained" for free.
Good enough for them.

Travelling from Asia I have little chance of making every game, thus I opt for the short cut for a ticket - I pay through the nose every time - worst (with the exception of the final which was beyond belief) was Villareal at 1000 Euro per ticket. When added on to everything else we had paid to get there though, hotels, bevvy, etc it actually didn't make much difference anyway. If there is a will there is a way and sacrifices will be made to ensure it happens.

These boys were fucked from the outset. I can guarantee that Plod will have had 20 witnesses per accused to make sure they were done before they moved. Thats why they even had the Polis in Glasgow tracking them down. That doesn't happen for hardcore dealers or habitual criminals never mind some boxing at the football. Manchester made an absolute cunt of it and so lost face, and thus someone had to pay and that was us and our brothers. The only positive note is that it will be auto half-time and possibly even less if they behave inside. The worry is they will defo send them to a local nick in the full knowledge they will get a doing. Stay safe boys.

What happened to quality over quantity? Foster is a player who may actually contribute to the club, Velicka was a player who would contribute nothing to the club except drain it of funds which could go to a player who may do something i.e Foster.
I would rather have a player who may actually play, or provide decent cover for a position where we are weak, than a player who will get skelfs from sitting in the stands (not even on the bench !!)

This is very true in many aspects.
You just need to have been witness to the many violent incidents involving rugby fans and players at tournaments over the years being put down to "boys will be boys" and they were "just high spirited young men".
It may not be on the same scale, but boxing is boxing.
For Manchester I think anyone going should seriously make sure you have a camera/video ready for anything that may happen. There is no doubt that Manchester Plod will be out for revenge as they were shown up to be the incompetents they are, and so someone will need to pay.
