More protection from Barton and/or Rossiter is essential but it's also set pieces where there is a fundamental weakness. Think of the cup semi and final

Currently watching Newcastle (who are being widely tipped to coast this league) toiling against Fulham. It will be decided both on the field of play and in the transfer market. Frankly, if we don't get at least one centre half in of a decent quality then I wouldn't fancy us either. If they qualify for the champions league then it's a double edged sword - major financial boost against heavy fixture congestion.

If I were a pundit I would wait till the end if the month to see exactly how both squads are and how both teams have shaped up against the opposition - and only then would I stick my neck out.

Halliday and Rossiter will both have a huge part to play this season. Sometimes one will start and sometimes the other will get the nod. And sometimes they'll both play. Either way I don't care, as long at the team is playing to a high standard and on a consistent basis then I don't care who's in.

Frankly, if we have any ambitions of winning this league then an absolute minimum of 10 points is required  

My continual fear with Warburton's ideology is that we will be allowed possession of the ball and get hit on the break. Hopefully Rossiter and/or Barton are utilised to counter this tactic and protect our back four (especially) keirnan. Either way I'll not be comfortable until we get a decent centre half. I think without that we will come up short.
