Stupid post I think, we have enough attention on us never mind mucking about with an armband. You don't change your captain at this late stage in the season, god we dont even have a manager yet & hopefully when we do have one he'll get shot of the passengers within the team that & get in proper football players to challenge title

Personally I think alex mcleish with Barry as number two would be decent to see until the end of the season. Two Rangers men with a bit of flare, hopefully would get the best out of the players we have. If things work then, 1 year contracts & a chance to get their own players in... Would be a test to get the best out of the players we currently have.
Under McLeish Barry was our captain & as we all know the players all reacted well to Ferguson, so as assistant would they not do the same? Two guys with a lot of experience of Rangers & other well respected football team with top class athletes.

Some players have the natural ability that can't be coached, Fraser Aird for example
Back then some would say Aird is much better tries harder than Barry, it was reported he had an attitude, but he doesn't have to try as hard as he has that natural ability
On the other hand I have never rated Holt, not once thought he was good enough, I just see another player who lakes ability and therefore has to run about and work much harder

Yes Hyndman deserves to start the next game (I never contradicted that), but could be guff for 4 games afterward.. From what I've seen we must try and make his move permanent, early days I know but I'm giving a view on the footage I've seen
Holt needs 3 touches before he gets the ball either in position or moved on, this gives the opposition time to get in the right defensive positions
This is why 20% of our games are played around the 18yard line without penetration
Hyndman has that first touch and control that quality players have who cost much more than Holt did
His ability to take the ball and move it got our goals
Holt in the 4 games did not take a one touch ball, he comes at it wrong, usually checks back
I see now why Barton, Nico were brought in, along with many, my faith in the manager is not what it was but he has had little luck
Think my main point is by getting 1 quality player fortunes can change rapidly, 3 big buys and we would be much closer this time next year
This summer the Rangers transfer policy must begin with half the amount promised, £15mill is letting King of lightly, we don't need a Keeper, Hil looks good enough for another year others we haven't seen enough off or what they can do with quality beside them
Replace at least Kiernan, Halliday, Holt, it's too soon to say if Dodoo is a player the only passes he gets are from Kenny, Garner, again we don't know but be good to see him with Hyndman & Toral in the team and getting service

A bit of a scrounging post.. Footballers get paid the amount they do because its a short term career to make a living from. It's nothing to do with him getting paid large amounts, that's not his fault that the board miss calculated and over spent. His job was to be a football player nothing else is owed back.

No one can argue that last year, minus the last few games of the season was a huge success with the manager and players. Since then we have moved up a league and it’s not the same Rangers team that controlled games for the majority of last season. The passing looks slack, constantly caught on the ball with a lack of attacking options. The players don’t look hungry, I don’t know what goes on behind closed doors but Mark has to be harder on the players. All we see is interviews of him saying positives from games and we’ll learn from it. That doesn’t suggest to me that players are receiving a boot in the baws that they deserve for not winning. At a team with the status and history of Rangers winning is everything, maybe mark isn’t used to this but if he doesn’t understand the importance of winning every game is he suited to be Rangers manager from now on?
This formation of 4-3-3 doesn’t work, we aren’t controlling games and being direct with our possession of the ball. When we’re defending one player is up the park which allows oppositions to push more players forward. If we had two men up at all time to stretch their defence it will either enable us to counter attack or at least draw players back from opposition attacks to mark us.
I like Mark but as a Rangers manager I think he needs to be harder on the players, understand winning is key no matter what and formation/positioning of players has to be altered.
Last night subs were made that weren’t going to make any impact on the game, we should have gone more attacking instead of replacing players who were similar to each other.

The players brought in amount to our ST money, therefore I think its high time King got out his check book and he did what he said he would over invest & give us a team we deserve. We stood by him and helped him get his position, now its time he repaid our faith in him & his board.

The signings we made in the summer window have all been very poor so far.
Many will disagree but there was a lot better talent we seen last year that we could of snapped up. Personally annoying wee fanny that he is we should of signed Cummings from hibs, not someone who scored 6 goals in 44 appearances last year.

I'm happy that Pedro is happy to take a bit of a risk. The league is basically over & aiming for 3rd, clearly playing safe under warburton & all this nicey nice, positive crap to players never worked.
Players are now training more regularly and need to play well for their name on the team sheet.
All players being analysed right now which is fair enough. Glad a few of the young boys are getting thrown in the deep end to see what they can offer.
I think Pedro has named the team sheet early in order to test both our players and Kilmarnock. We will now need to mix things up & play well.
