A light punishment, I am presuming he did bet against Rangers against Albion Rovers. I am more inclined than not to think Rangers will terminate his contract.
I know an Albion Rovers player, who played in that game, who had money on Rangers.

I think the fact that you can now only bet a treble minimum on Junior games tells you how rife betting is in Scottish football albeit at a lower lever / part time level. Remember, from 1Division down players do not make a lot of money from their short careers so the temptation to make a quick but must be there.

He plays/played with Cambuslang Rangers - unsure if they are still governed by the SFA? maybe they are - dunno.
This was senior and long before I played Junior.
Juniors still comes under SFA & Hampden tho.

You'd be surprised. Played alongside quite a few lads who had the other team to win. One even threw a Scottish Cup tie after telling us BEFORE the game that he had a few ton on the other team (goalkeeper as well). Was sacked by the club and that's as far as it went.

Seriously though, I'd loan him out to Cambuslang Rangers for a month or 2 and show him what real graft we do. Working during the day and bursting our baws at night at training.....not pissing off to Nandos. Might make him appreciate where he is a bit more.

All I said was there is no place for sectarianism at Ibrox. Perhaps read posts more carefully in future. Heard a couple of sectarian shouts from BF1 at the Elgin game. Fucking embarrassing.
