  1. The debate amongst gers on McCoist is a bit like that dress. some see it as white and gold, and others see it as blue and black, and both would be valid perceptions.my opinion of McCoist is this. to be held in the esteem that he was as a player by the fans, to the divisiveness which even just the mention of his name now seems to cause, then you know you've screwed up big time. lets be honest here, if you feel the mistake the person made was big enough and impacted you deeply enough, you may say or even honestly belive that you'll forgive them, but we don't really, not completely anyway, but that's just human nature P:S:had it been Laudrup or Cooper (god rest his soul) that did what McCoist had done, then it would have pissed me off more, on second thoughts, had it been Laudrup or Cooper then it would have caused me great sadness rather than anger, which is a lot worse. then again that probably says more about my feelings towards those 2 greats as players as it relates to McCoist
  2. ok not really bothered by the defeat today as it was only a friendly, and the hows and whys of the game have been posted by many, I personally think when we play with no intensity we become bang average, but to me the biggest difference is this - our squad is assembled together and designed to win the top league in Scotland, where as the Burnley's squad is assembled together and designed to to stay in the top league in England, simples....
  3. we are both more or less in agreement on MW, it's just to what degree that we differ on, you say he'll not be here long enough to be classed as great(but I was talking about MW's managerial career not just with us but in the future as well) which is not that different to me saying he's too good for Scotland, anyway lets hope he brings as much sucess to us while he's here as possible(which hopefully is for a few years yet)
  4. Adrian Durham rates MW, but even he would not link MW with the England job, which this sports writer did, so to me Chris Davies' knowledge on our gaffer is greater than Durham's. Anyway the rest of your comment is fair enough as I I cannot logically argue with the points you've made, I maybe skipping ahead of myself, but I'm very confident ( and a certainty if he signs a new defender before the transferwindow shuts) that MW will come good and win the league title this season
  5. fair enough, but it's easy to say someone is a good manager after they've won a major trophy, it's predicting that they will that's the harder trick
  6. I put up the link just to show that along with us, this sports writer was the only one who seem to REALLY understand how good MW is. As in regards to too good for Scotland, I stand by that ,but I did not say he was too good for Rangers (nobody is), that's the big difference, just as we as a club are too big for the Scottish league. But folks just read too good for Scotland and go radio rental.for the record I want MW to stay for at least the duration of his contract and then some. Guess I'll have to be more selective in what I post in the future, but nuance is hard to put across in print, some get it and some don't. Tell you what though the road to hell IS paved with good intentions.
  7. No point, it's never gonna happen in my lifetime, mind you if SKY get their finger oot then you never know
  8. He is too good for scotland and I stand by that, But I did not say he was too good for Rangers that's the big difference, just as Rangers are too big a club to be stuck in this league, but hey ho thems the breaks.Aye he is happy here and hopefully he'll be here for a long time, but that does not make my comments on his talents as it relates to the scottish league any less valid. and nobody else but this sports writer seem to REALLY understand what a great manager MW truely is (thankfully) down south. that was the reason I put the link up. For the record so you don't misunderstand ,I want MW to stay for at least the duration of his contract and then some, as I think he is the best manager in Scotland bar none, certainly better than Brenda bloody Todgers, and he'll go on to prove that this season by winning the league, and he'll do it with a considerably smaller budget than them. Which to me is the true sign the how good MW really is
  9. who doen't hate whtites? and how big is the strapon?
  10. are you on the wind up mate? is this what happens to newbies then is it
  11. there's no really a correct way to answer that question is there?
  12. No doubt he will leave us at some stage, lets hope it's later rather than sooner, and lets be honest here, a manager of his talents is too good for Scotland, but at least he has laid the foundations here for our club to prosper in the future.
