  1. Both Naismith and Boyd waived their loyalty bonuses at Kilmarnock in order to get a move to Rangers. Sone has done something similar, only its taking a portion of his own money/wages. Gone a long way towards getting my respect, seems like a good guy.

  2. He had a few class touches and a cracking one- two with Jelavic early on... When the ball was being played on the ground and to his feet. After that it was all long balls! I cannot find him at fault for being unable to make an impact on the game when the cm's were being completely fucking useless, from my limited viewings of McKay, he is very much a pass and move player, passes the ball well and constantly moving, play the ball on the deck and he'll deliver, however any other type of Play is going to bypass him.

  3. Anyway, good game, Liverpool completely dominated the first half, scoring an excellent passing goal in the process. Then at half time AVB made good changes that affected the flow of the play - Chelsea started coming into the game and creating chances - resulting in the equalising goal. The game was roughly level in the second half, I feel that Liverpool could and should have made many more chances, but the final ball was lacking, it was certainly a open game, and a moment of magic from either team could win it. It was to be Liverpool who conjured up that elusive second goal with a fantastic ball from Adam, with a delivery like that, there was no way Johnson could fail to run into the box, and his quick feet, going past Cole and sublimely finishing past Cech and Terry with his left foot. Cracking goal. I feel in the end, Liverpool deserved the win.

  4. Liverpool defence is as strong as its been all season, no carragher, good news, I feel he's getting on a bit too much now, not playing well. Im surprised theres no downing, i thought he had a fantastic game for England in their latest friendly, although, in saying that Maxi provides a goalscoring presence from midfield that Liverpool have badly lacked in recent times. I do worry about the continued use of 4-4-2, I dont think adam can play as part of a two, as a three, he can be given more leeway to be attacking, but as a two, he has to be disciplined, not something Adams good at. Overall, should be a good game. Hard to call this one, Liverpool did the double over Chelsea last season, lets see if they can do it again.

  5. I think its difficult for Davis at times, the creative onus seems to be on him all the time which I feel is affecting his form. A player like Davis is feel is not used to or suited to grabbing a game by the scruff of the neck and making things happen, he is a tidy player who can play cracking balls and passing. His primary job is to feed the rest of the team with good passes, not provide a creative spark. However, he is also the only person in the team, who can actually do that, although not nearly as well as a dedicated play-maker. The solution to his form? Matt McKay. Already we can see his quality in providing neat, tidy passes, and driving the play through his sheer engine, I feel he can take some of that creative responsibility off Davis, and allow him to relax and play football his way, instead of being forced to do a job because no-one else can. Matt McKay seems to me like a left sided Davis, and hopefully having him in the team, could prove beneficial to Davis, as well as his own undoubted quality.
