To be honest I could never warm to Tillman. I’d be surprised if he starts - if he does good because we can bully him out of the game I suspect. The Tarriers managed it every time we played them last season. To be fair to him, he played his part in us winning in Eindhoven last year - but I’d argue it was his only substantial contribution to Rangers in a “bigger” game

How “pumped” we get depends entirely on the draw. Ive lost track of the permutations but would we not be in the 3rd pot if we made it ? Of course that doesn’t guarantee anything, but it does mean there are plenty pot 4 teams we could beat over the two games. If we can get past PSV we can finish third with a favourable draw. Then enjoy some knockout football after Christmas

Yeah I get that argument. Since 2019 we’ve probably become conditioned to thinking runs to the last 16/quarter finals of the EL are just ‘a given’. It’s what happens. We had a very difficult group last year, and certainly underperformed aswell. But it’s a stinker of a draw. If you offered me Shakhtar and Leipzig in a group - as the Tarriers got - I’m expecting us to be in the reckoning for third at least in that group. Obviously all change next season - once you’re in the CL, you’re in and there are no parachutes. So imperative we drop this “our level” chatter. Every Rangers fan I know accepts we have a ceiling in Europe - what’s important is maximising the income from it to help us achieve what is our ultimate goal. Winning the Scottish Premiership

I won’t fixate on that individual’s quotes, but there has been, since last season, a wider ‘school of thought’ of Rangers fans insisting how great the Europa League is, how woefully out of our depth in the Champions League we are…and how we’re just better off beating Brondby and the like. So, whatever your man said, fine, I don’t care. Im tired of this notion of Europa League level contentment that has spread through a section of the fan base
