    My eyes are o.k. pal and i am big enough and stupid enough to form my own opinions on any subject without talking to Hibs fans (who talks to them anyway but a fellow TIM), Kevin Thomson was having his best spell before his injury when he was the holding midfielder who was allowing Mendes to dictate the play, he did the same thing at Hibs and that made Brown look good. Since he came back Smith has resorted to type and started playing him out of position (as he does with most players) to accomodate the fat useless lump of shit that is Lee McCulloch !!!!

    I have to agree, holding midfielder is what he is and always was, but because McCulloch (who must have photo's of Smith in some compromising situations) has to be included in the team in whatever 'libero' position Capello puts him in, holding midfielder now, it is usually to the detriment of some other player's natural position..

    Yes, let's cheer at paying to watch utter, utter dross, not just in Europe but at home too.

    Let's stop moaning at paying £40 for Seville, £37 for Unirea Urziceni, and £40 for Stuttgart only to see our team head out and get pumped by Seville, capitulate to Unirea Urziceni when a goal up and get royally humped by Stuttgart, it's all OK though, there's nothing wrong, as long as we're better than the bheasts, who, by some stroke of shear damned luck, appointed their 3rd/4th option, monkeyheid as the manager, who seems bereft of any clue as to how to manage those dirty fuckers. :rolleyes:

    What a parochial view of the once great Rangers FC, it seems now we only need to be 'great' in our own backyard to pacify some fans, although that will not help get new owners in and secure much needed investment, will it?? Winning the SPL get's you virtually fuck all in prize money....

    ........and in a couple of season's time it won't even get you entry into the CL.

    Who needs it though??

    Surely the new investor will be happy at just beating the rest of the SPL and finishing above them?? <cr>

    100% agree on that.

    Waltersmithus Dinosaur-us, despite his good intentions for the club, is no longer needed, we need a manager who is not afraid to change things if we are playing absolute gash, which seems 90% of the time nowadays.

    Kenny Miller should have kept his mouth shut. Also to compare the Ferguson and Bougherra situations is ridiculous. For a start, Bougherra's still worth something as a football player.

    Am i reading this right, or did you just dis ferguson and all he'd gave to Rangers?.

    What Kenny said was accurate and had to be said. Madjid was late back THREE times.... players have done less and been booted out the club.

    Ferguson was providing nothing at Rangers, it was best for all parties that he left. I have no idea what 'scarse' means.

    You don't know what went on behind the scenes anymore than I do, but the fact Ferguson and McGregor got suspended for two weeks and Bougherra hasn't should tell you something.

    He delivered this football club 15 trophies.

    Tell me, how many has Madjid deliviered?.

    In fact, how many Rangers' players can boast that record?

    I actually thought what Nacho did was very funny. Fans shouldn't dish it out if they can't take it back.

    Been thinking and although I love the wee man, his behaviour was unaceptable and for me should be treated along the lines like Barry and Alan were regarding boozgate, you simply as a rangers player and representative of the club behave in the manor he did so I have to say he should be transfer listed and sold asap for the dignity of our club!

    With a bad run of results the position of Paul Le Guen came into question.

    Of course you could point the finger at Le Guen in his poor signing policy and decision to keep Lionel Letizi as the number one goalkeeper ahead of anybody frankly; he was a manager with all the right credentials, he played football the correct way and had no problems in bringing through youth players.

    He had called into question the importance of a Captain in any team; he regarded the team as a whole to be more important. After telling the mhedia he had a meeting with Ferguson regarding his comments Ferguson replied “What meeting? He didn’t say anything to me” a storm was brewing.

    On Monday 1st January 2007 things came to a head when the captain was dropped for the game away to Motherwell, he was told as long as Le Guen was in charge he would not be picked again. Murray had a choice to make, stick by YOUR manager or the captain. His choice would be the captain and Le Guen has never forgiven him for it.

    He had asked Murray to put Ferguson up for transfer, which was rejected, Le Guen considered that to be the point in which he had no control over first team affairs.

    Great article although I'm a little unsure about this part. I'm sure I read that Murray flew back from France on his jet when he heard the news and met PLG. He warned him what he was letting himself in for and Le Guen said he knew. Can't find those quotes typically enough. :anguish:
