  1. dont know if this has ever been suggested or thought of before but my mates and myself ended up singing this after Miller scored last night.

to the tune of young at heart

    H** at heart i'm a H** at heart.

    worked for us

Away yae go ya boggin wee bastard

    f**k you.

we enjoyed singing it. if you disagree fair enough but dont insult me

You enjoyed it? What a strange wee guy you are. Do you know we used to call use H***? As it was your beloved Oirland who hid the nazi gold etc

yes we did. As someone who watched the game with 3/4 celtic fans in my living room at the time it was good banter.

no doubt that makes me filth for associating with celtic fans but i dont care

  3. the stats speak for themselves, we have the best defence in the league.

i agree that sometimes whittaker is vunerable on the right but he has other qualities in attack that make up for it.

looking at full backs nowadays its hard to find someone who is solid in defence and who is a threat in attack. full backs who posses both are in short supply and tend to play for the top clubs in europe.

  4. "Grinding out a result" in Manager speak means = Our passing was fucking woeful and our build up play was as slow as a fucking wet weekend but we got the points anyway, so who gives a fuck about the entertainment.:sherlock:

    Succinctly put, Wattie.

to be honest i dont care if we play good football or not. its all about winning at this point in the season. obviously i would prefer if we played like arsenal but we dont.

  5. i was one of the spoiled generation, born in 84 so i was brought up at the time when it was almost a formality that rangers won the league.

i remember never being worried if we would win, but would almost be disapointed that no-one could give us a game.

my friends dad actualy gave up his season ticket when it was 7 in a row because no one could compete with us and he was bored with seing us pump everyone.

it sounds strange but i remember at that time almost wishing that the league was more of a challenge and that someone could push ussp we could be better in europe.

  6. He won't be in the team once Edu, and Thomson are fully fit after having a good pre-season under their belt!

Davis, Thomson, and Edu, when all fit, should be in the team ahead of McCulloch.

Can I ask why you think that? McCulloch has been nothing but outstanding for us this season.

totaly agree, Lee has been pivital to our success this season.

  7. when you look back with hindsight he was a succesful manager no doubt about it.

but at the time i was never convinced he was rangers class, but now after seeing what he has done with Birmingham i recognise that he is one of the best british managers currently in the game.

we would be doing well to get someone of his class to take over after sir walter retires

  8. doesanyone else think the announcements, introduction of the team and general energy of the tannoy anouncer at ibrox is rubbish?

i have been to games in the EPL and some on the continent and when tannoy guy comes on normally he lifts the crowd, inspires a chant etc but not at ibrox.

anyone else think its time we livened up the place and got someome with a bit of charisma to motivate the fans?

  9. i used to despise big Lee as did everyone else on this forum and i have to say i have been impressed with him and totaly changed my opinion of the guy.

this season i think he has been tremendous. he never hides in a game, makes crucial tackles and scores important goals.

he leads the team. recently he has been one of our best players, ok there are others who are technicaly better but Lee always gives his all.

i would be happy fpr him to be captain, thomson just doesnt cutt it for me. one game hes outstanding the nest you wouldnt even know he is playing. right now i would rather have Lee than Thomson in team amd try Edu in cebtre mid with him

  10. I'm sick of watching rangers kick off, its always the same. We pass it back, it goes out wide, back again to the centre half then to the keeper then hoofed up the park.

Surrely the players have more ability than this, not even a decent boys club team would do this.

But to top it off this move seems to be the one with the most consequtive completed passes in the game. Its just not good enough.

What are these guys doing in training.

Similarly our play is utterly predictable, I cant remember the last time we created a goal that didnt come from a goal mouth stromach or a defensive/goalkeeping mistake.

    Predictable and very poor.

  11. Okay, so recently times haven't been as great as we're used to, but come on, some of the people on here seem to act as if Murray is doing everything in his power to destroy Rangers.

He seriously revamped Ibrox, increasing it's capacity, an investment which will help Rangers for many-a-year to come.

He bank-rolled big name signings like Laudrup and Gascoigne, as well as changing the club forever in signing our first high-profile Roman Catholic in Mo Johnston.

He has always been extremely ambitious and helped Rangers spend very big under the Advocaat era (albeit not being successful in the long term).

He also invested a lot of his own money into the club in other projects like Murray park, which, despite not producing 100 players a year of Premier League standard (which is what some people seem to be thinking it should be) it has produced some good talent, remember Hutton? What about the likes of Fleck and Wilson?

What happened to supporting the club through thick and thin? I didn't see these fans complaining through 9 in a row, or even 2 years ago during the UEFA run.

Sure, things aren't great, and it poses the question, is it time for him to move on? Maybe, but he is refusing to sell to a buyer who doesn't have the club's best interests at heart, something that quite a lot of bears obviously see as very important - again looking after the long-term future of the club.

So sure, things aren't at their best right now but lets not forget, over the years Murray has invested heavily in our club, and I for one, will always be thankful for his time at the helm, regardless of what some short-minded fans may feel.

Thanks for the memories Davie, it's been a wild ride.

Couldn't have put it better myself
