  1. never mind thinking about strikers, first we need some players who can create chances, play nice 1 2s, dribble and maybe even run at the opposition defence.

Miller is pish, not good enough for rangers by a long shot. if we got him for free i still wouldnt want him!

  2. big broadfoot is living the dream just now.he might not be the best player we have but at least he always gives 100%

Do you honestly think thats enough to play for Rangers?

In that case theres hundreds of posters on this board that should be getting a game as well.

exactly to play for rangers you need more to your game than giving 100%. how about some quality and ability? our midfield lacks both and so does broadfoot unfortunetly.

possibly JCD for cousin, but thats prety much what i would do. i fear walter will leave out novo, bring in Broadfoot and put whittaker in midfield

  4. Spain and italy rarely pick players who dont play in their respective leagues. Spain have only recently started selecting players who play in england as some of their best like torres have moved there. i doubt cuellar will ever get picked for spain while playing for rangers as they see the scottish league as very poor quality.

The sad truth is King Carlos joined us aged 25 without a cap to his name and relative anonymity with a midtable Spanish side. Rumours of Man Utd being interested are the only thing which suggested he had a bigger future - your Barcas, Reals, Villarreals etc saw him week in week out and none appeared to want him.

So in moving to Scotland not only is he now in a backwater league but it doesn't alter the fact he was miles off the national team when he DID play in Spain.

Furthermore, I don't buy the whole crap league argument. Numan, GVB, de Boer etc - just because these guys played here didn't stop them playing for the Netherlands. It didn't stop Sionko being picked for the Czechs.

well that would be holland and Czech republic, not spain and italy that have probably the 2nd and 3rd best domestic leagues in the world. the scottish league isnt looked at very favorably in europe. even down in england they think its micky mouse if you speak to any of them about it. that may not be representative of everyone in england but from my experience thats the opinion i got most often.

  6. i doubt if we would get more than 750K for hemdani and maybe only 500K for Buffel. Still i would take the cash and run as they have both, in there own ways, been poor this season

How can you say they have been poor this season?

Only in the last six weeks or so Hemdani hasn't produced his usual performance.

Thomas Buffel has played what? Two games? Come on, mate. Get a grip.

Buffel poor in the sence that he has contributed zero this season and is dead wood. hemdani as he contributes nothing going forward and has been very wasteful with his passing, something he never done in the past.

  7. A similar t-shirt praising , say , John Knox would pose serious problems for the media and the other lot. If Boruc can pay tribute to his religious leader , then censoring praise for a figure who was instrumental in the birth of our national church would really open the can of worms.

agreed! but i dont think any of our players should stoop to borucs level. although if one of our players happens to wear a john knox t shirt i would probably have to buy it :rangers:

  8. I remember when walter was the manager in the good ol days he was always reluctant to bleed the youngsters through, and maybe it seems he is still wary of giving these boys a chance. with our U19 winning the league surely there has to be players from this crop able to get a chance when we are down to a barebone squad?

now im not getting on walters back and im 100% behind him but even celtic throw on there youngsters and give them a chance at times.

  9. I think it was to do with the Under 21 rule, as Faye can play both in both central midfield and defence - whether he can do it well is debatable, I know - and Walter obviously doesn't trust a under 19 central midfielder to be on the bench and put Webster in as the experienced centre back.

Fiorentna Subs: G. Smith, Boyd, Gow, Webster, Faye, Buffel, Cousin

Celtic Subs: Graeme Smith, Boyd, Lennon, McMillan, Fleck, JCD, Faye

i thought we only had to have 2 U21's. by the look of our bench against celtic we had 4. am i wrong?
