Goncalves was on pretty high wages at Hearts!
He supposedly turned down 16 k a week to sign a new contract at least that is the figure I have heard mentioned a few times.

Was it a deliberate handball by the Hamilton player? As I thought it was only a foul if the handball was deliberate.

Ferrera was already struggling to hold onto his job.
He'll probably get the boot before the weekend.
Luciano Spalletti a stick on for the job?
There is a rule in Italy that only allows you to manage 1 club a season and since he started the season with Roma he won't be available to manage another Italian club until the summer.
Mancini would probably get considered since he doesn't have a contract with Inter anymore. Juventus took too big a risk with their choice of manager.

This is the same Rooney that unveiled a t-shirt a few years back while playing for Everton "Once A Blue, Always A Blue" and then went on to sign for Man Utd in the very same seasons I think. Thus even if he claimed he wanted to stay at Man Utd for life I would take what he said at face value. As who wouldn't want to play with Messi, Iniesta, Xavi & Co ? He would probably end up a major contender for player of the year if he did sign for Barcelona as well.

There is no way Haye is winning on points after the whole Holyfield fiasco.
Oh how I was wrong

Sampdoria for a Champions League place? With their performances and their 1-0 win over Inter today I see no reason why Sampdoria won't finish in the top 4, heck with Fiorentina, Roma and Milan not exactly wonderful they could make the top 2 or 3.

The last player Barcelona need is Luca Toni!
I agree, they don't need a central forward, they need a winger along the lines of Mata or Silva

3-1. Told you all there would be goals!
You didn't predict 3 sending offs though what a cracking game, who said Serie A is dull?
Cracker of a game. Have a feeling that Donadoni may have his card marked though.
The amount of money they spent in the summer, there really isn't an excuse for losing 2 out of your first 3 games.

Genoa look the part, maybe Maradonna should call up Palacio and Crespo so much Argentinian attacking talent in Serie A it is kind of bemusing that Maradonna included Palermo in his squad
-
Hat-trick for Di Natale today!
He is a very good little player.
Surely should be in the Azzurri squad for the WC!
FORZA AZZURRI!
He's pretty old though now, 32 or something? Still age is no barrier if you're doing well. Wouldn't be surprised if he popped up in SA as a reserve.
Isn't he already in the current squad? Although I would rather that space went to Pazzini since there is no chance of it going to Cassano.

Juve will challenge Inter for a long part of the season imo.
Inter's team just looks too strong tho.
How do you figure that when the only team Inter have beaten this season were a shambles of a Milan side ?
-
I think Trezeguet was rotten today. Apart from that volley in the first half, every time he got the ball, he failed to do something positive. Amauri huffed and puffed and really should have scored. I think Iaquinta should have played. When you playing Inter?
I think he was just rotating to freshen things up after the International break otherwise he would of and I just meant bring them on in general we don't play them until December.

Looking Foward to Lazio vs Juve later, Lazio are my team and never liked juve but think we'll lose narrowly.
Why hello there
How goes it?
Have to say I used to keep up to date with Serie A when it was on channel 4 and then lost track a bit once they stopped showing it (which delightfully coincided with the lazio financial scandal and ensuing seasons of mediocrity) but starting to get back into it now with the streams.
Italian Cup Final last season was fantastic
How are Roma looking this season...the cunts
It's funny watching your guys get all mad haha, was never a goal
Besides, nobody really cares about the SuperCup
Let's not talk about Roma for now
It wasn't but they look like scoring against us
He wasn't talking about the the Super Cup he was talking about the actual Italian Cup Final
Yeah because at the moment Lazio look so much better than you lot
Thank You Caceres
Roma clearly have the better squad, it's just that we're being run by a bunch of clueless numpties. How Ranieri clears things up will be interesting.
Trezeguet!! Bring on Inter
Roma have some quality players, will be interesting to see what Ranieri does, I heard rumours he was going to make Baptista the focal point of attack

Yassssssssss Caeceres!!

Leonardo isn't solely to blame, but I don't think he was the right appointment.
I don't think he was either but the club by the looks of thing didn't want to pay compensation and who was available in the summer? Mancini? I doubt that of went well, Ranieri? Suppose that wouldn't of been a bad appointment but personally if you were going for an ex player approach there should have been only one man Milan considered, Frank Rijkaard.
-
That's it finished 0-0, poor performance from Milan. Leonardo just isn't cut out for a managers job.
I don't think you can blame Leonardo, Milan struggled at times last season even with Kaka they have effectively weakened the team, if Huntelaar and Pato are to score they need service and I don't see it coming from Ronaldinho
Seedorf, Pirlo, Nesta, Zambrotta, Oddo, Jankulovski, Ambrosini, Gattuso all getting on and past their best.........
Could do with getting Palombo, D'Agostino and Ledesma signed up.... the first one is not likely though given his desire to stay at Sampdoria, you could even try and do a double deal from Lazio for Pandev and Ledesma as if Huntelaar doesn't make it you could do with someone who is tried and tested in Serie A.
As for the fullback positions, I highly doubt Bale is the answer to the left back position, would be better off looking at Criscito of Genoa. You also need a new right back, may sound absurd but Hutton hardly starts for Spurs, could do worse...
Does Riquelme have a European passport, I am sure I read somewhere he was playing for Boca for free this year, could do worse than getting him for a year or two.
Find it a bit ludicrous that they are saying they are going to sign the new Kaka in January, who would that be?
-
Onyewu wasn't even included in the squad either!
Strange one! He should be given a chance the Milan defence has looked shaky all season.
-
I think he'll get the CL group stages.
Stays that long and you will find yourselves in the Europa League as Marseille and Real will be too strong
-
Why did Jankulovski start for Milan he is one of the weakest links in that team this season, should of moved Zambrotta to left back instead of dumping him out the team all together, the cetral defensive partnership isn't working either why not give Onyewu his chance next to Silva.
-
How is that controversial? Many Brazilians consider Diego to be the natural heir to Pele so it isn't only Di Canio that thinks that.

Roma have signed Lobont on loan, feel sorry for Sergio if he takes the number 1 slot as he was brilliant yesterday.
That's the least of our worries. Rumour is that Spalletti is being asked to leave
On the plus side, Mancini wants back, and even if it's a loan deal (which it most likely will be, seeing as we're dirt poor) if he rediscovers his form of 07/08, it will be a great signing.
Thats him resigned, who do you want to replace him? There were rumours of Roberto Mancini rejecting Zenit to stay in Italy, maybe he was sounded out about the situation?
