Atletico Madrid may have scored 33 goals more than Sevilla last season, however you must remember their was a spell last season when all their strikers were out either injured or suspended so this will not have helped the amount of goals they scored. 2 seasons ago Sevilla should of won La Liga but they threw it away.

Diego was superb hope he keeps it up, I really think this could be our year.
-
Cousin had a stinking attitude and still does, could have been a great player for us but fucked it up for himself.
He didn't want to be a great player for us, it was always his dream to play in the EPL, he was only using us as a stepping stone.

De Rossi's goal made me smile
Should have been two though, expected Totti to slot that home.
The way we were dominating that game, I expected us to have it won
In all fairness, Amauri was unlucky to hit the post. Julio Sergio has kept us in the game, no question. The commentators pronounciation though
The commentators on this channel are crap
I preferred the old days when it was on Channel 4. Sergio is having a brilliant game, however if you keep giving us chances I am sure we will score a couple.

Totti misses a great chance!
He didn't miss the legendary Buffon prevented it!

Gattuso's sending off undoubtedly changed the game. Milan lost what little bite they had in midfield, allowing tide upon tide of Inter attack to wash over them. I don't think 1 or 2 players are needed to make Milan great agai; the club needs a massive upheaval.
Get rid of Nesta, Ambrosini, Seedorf (who actually did OK yesterday), Zambrotta, Gattuso, Jankulovski, essentially all of the veterans, even Pirlo, and bring in some fresh homegrown players. Top of the list should be a good pair of hands in goal, possibly Marchetti from Cagliari? A partner for Silva is needed at the back, Barzagli fits the bill perfectly. A new pair of wingbacks is also required. In midfield, Gattuso is losing his ferocity of recent years, so someone like Angelo Palombo should be briught in as a replacement.
I couldn't believe he made Ambrosini his captain, Seedorf what a slow ass at getting ready to come on
, I don't see the point in playing both Flamini and Gattuso they are similar type of players, give Flamini his chance. Pirlo has looked past it for a couple of years now no idea why Milan want him to finish his career there. I don't understand why they keep loaning out Diniz he would be the perfect partner for Silva at the back. Leonardo wants wingbacks but will he be given any money? I doubt it. As for Palombo he is one of a few players who show loyalty to his club might find it hard to tempt him away from Sampdoria. D'Agostino should be signed immediately from Udinese, to replace Pirlo.
What a goal by De Rossi!

What do you think of Chelsea possibly forcing Mutu to retire, I think its a joke the man served his ban let him get on with his career
-
Milan don't look good at all, they have offered literally nothing going forward, they need Beckham back now, forget January! Also their defence has been woeful to say the least, major reinvestment needed!
-
My Prediction for the Milan derby would be 2-1 to Milan with Huntelaar bagging the winner, as for the Roma-Juventus game I think it will be 3-3.
As for Sneijder, he is a quality player but I am bit shocked they didn't sign a South American to fill that role
-
He would of been better off going back to Fenerbahce, it's all about wages though, everyone else who was linked with him was scared off by his wage demands.
-
Yes everyone has to qualify for the group stage of the Europa league, Villareal are in a qualifier too, all those teams are not guaranteed in, hence the draw is tommorow when the qualifiers have finished.
-
Did any team automatically qualify for the Europa League? Or has every team went through some sort of qualifier?
in the op , you see all the teams, any with numbers next to them had to qualify the ones that don't went through automatically
edit: think i just made that up
the ones with the numbers are the champ league drop outs , the rest had to qualify
good teams V good teams etc, pish teams V pish teams and all that
But some of them had to go through CL qualifiers e.g ra sellick. So for the ones that didn't, how did they automatically qualify? League position, cup win...? Everton finished in 5th(I think) and they have had to qualify...
i amde another edit and thats still wrong as Everton dont have anything against them
im sure Valencia havent had to qualify but fuck knows
Aye, but Everton are up against Sigma Olomouc
Can't recall Valencia in a qualifier
Valencia are playing Stabæk IF, 3-0 up from the first leg.
-
oh no....what was he thinking
maybe its coz of Van Gaal
Bayern are 12th in the Bundesliga right now he he
they have been miserable this season so far
Still early in the season, they have some quality players there, once their new signings gel they will probably be unstoppable in Germany at least.
-
I will believe it when I see it he has rejected them 3 times already.

The Football Italia site are now linking Inter with Baptista after Sneijder keeps rejecting them, they think the price would be around £7 million and are linking Roma with Fred and Pavlyuchenko if the sale goes through. Either would be a good signing but strenghtening one of your biggest rivals to facilitate a purchase of a center forward seems crazy to me!
Also just noticed it was on Sky Sports too
Julio Baptista's agent has claimed he is in discussions with Inter Milan over a possible switch. The Brazilian forward has fallen out of favour at Roma and has been tipped to secure a move away from the Stadio Olimpico this summer.
Baptista ruled out a return to England earlier this week following a largely frustrating season on loan with Arsenal in 2006/7.
Inter Milan are now thought to be leading the chase for Baptista's signature and his representative Herminio Menendez says negotiations with the Serie A champions are ongoing.
"We are talking to Inter for his transfer," Menendez told romagiallorossa.com.
"He could join them on a permanent transfer.
"As far as I know, Baptista has not spoken to Roma.
"The negotiations must be completed soon because on Monday the transfer window ends."

Nothing under £10m. If we get that then take it, and spend on someone like Cavani.
Doubt you would get Cavani, however if you pulled that one off it would be a good deal all round.
D'Agostino is getting linked with Lazio for Pandez + Ledesma + cash to Lazio, do you think that might happen? What a signing that would be for Lazio!
D'Agostino, a former Roma man moving to Lazio?
Would be really shocked if Pandev and Ledesma moved to Udinese though.
Well according to Football Italia it is Udinese who are pushing to use D'Agostino as part of the deal. I guess he must of the fell out with the club as he never got his move to Juventus.
He was never a key player for Roma though, Roma were crazy to let him go, he is some player and if Lazio manage to sign him and Canini whom they have also been linked too on the football italia side, then they might just be a dark horse for fourth.
Roma were using him as a trequartista, but since he's been moved a bit deeper, he's come on leaps and bounds. Now there's a player I wouldn't mind seeing in our shirt this season!
I don't see a successful Lazio season at all. I may be slightly blinkered, but this is a club with a lot going on behind the scenes which is involving their best players leaving. Plus Ballardini has yet to really prove himself as a top class coach.
You can only dream, your skint !
Yes there is always some drama going on at Lazio, however they still have Zarate, Rocchi and Cruz so they will score goals. Their defence on the other hand was a shambles last season and needs shoring up.

Hamilton seem to be ditching their young prospect values and going for average foreigners this year.
-
£22m
hes a decent enough player but hes not worth half of that.
It was £24m I think, he cost £500k more than Daniel Alves so it said on Sky Sports News this morning.

Doubt he will go there, looks like he is going to show faith in Nani and Valencia this season. Wasn't Robben one of Real's top performers last season? He is better than Spurs anyway don't blame him for not wanting to go there.

Rangers are set to sign Stranzl in a £1.5million deal, if they can get rid of DeMarcus Beasley for 600k several clubs are interested but yet to make a bid.
