really hope we get brown the best midfielder in the spl imo
Better than barry?
Better than hartley?
If we get Koevermans, Healy, Brown, Hansson, a RB and a LW. I will be a happy bear.We need a keeper, so don't be too happy with just that

He owns 90% of the business?
Thats not healthy. If he's not gonna sell it all up, at least sell down to 51% so we can get some more money into the team.
-
He was offered to rangers by his agent i believe.

I'd take naismith... wouldn't spend a fortune on him but i'd take him at gers... he'd be fantastic, and he'd keep our whole attacking squad on their toes.
-
Haven't seen much, if any of him really.
Whats your opinions? Good buy?

4mil is a joke. one and a half good international games and hes 4mil? This isn't the EPL.
3mil tops...

Young footballer, old firm then onto the premiership...
Champions league football and regular football or... just EPL and perhaps not a regular starter.. I know what i'd pick.
-
It's just the daily record though. Big McMillan has announced the rangers fans would be delighted with signing healy.. hopefully that will sway any doubt in WS mind. (If there is any)
-
18months i think it was. Weir was on a 6month contract.
-
Rangers boss Walter Smith will not pursue Northern Ireland striker David Healy despite seeing him score twice against Sweden. Smith was casting his eye over a Swedish player. (Daily Record)
-
I can't see him not really...
He seems like our only "Guarenteed" signing... (given we have the cash).

Celtic fans blame miller to be fair.

You're right. That's what i get for sneakily trying to post in work.
My apologies, you're spot on with that.

Times have changed from then i think, we're a more united scotland because we have gained confidence in ourselves.
If we went back to the berti vogts days and we were just playing as bonus points to any opponent it would be a different matter.
Look back at scotland vs brazil... who didn't cheer with john collins scored? Even as a bear, i cheered. I cheered when caldwell scored. Scotland aren't just a bogey team, and thats what has united us. OF sidings aren't that important now when it comes to a scotland game.

We have a very thin team... i don't doubt our youth team would need called up to the reserves.
So you don't think it is quite impressive that a lot of our youngsters can beat the Hearts reserve team? Anyway the main point of this thread is to compliment the youth players and to point out that there could be a lot of good players coming through the ranks eventually.
Deffo, i'm not up to standard on the hearts reserves team, but for youth players to be competing with reserves teams of our opposition can only be a bonus. Might be proving that murray park is usefull afterall?
I seen the youth team table a few weeks ago and the gers were top of the table... was quite impressed with that considering celtic have a "better intake of youth" apparently.

guy works next to me is called ian campbell... unless u could read my mind and where i work... i doubt the answer lies in this sentence

Aye, catalans and the basques... thats what causes the divide, because basque believe they should have their own country.
I'm not sure if real and barca are particularly mixed up int eh basque and catalan problem, as they aren't like real betis who only take on basque players.
But spain have a bigger problem than scottish football. And i'd argue that scottish football benefits from the old firm, and isn't effected negatively due to it.

Spains main problem is spain vs basque... not barca/real.
Without the OF, scotland would still be just a shit team like faroes and andorra.
I'd actually argue the OF benefits the scottish team if anything. Too teams always within europe, provide a decent backbone of quality.
Hartley and fergie work well together on the field, even though they are on opposite sides of the OF, so do weir and pressley/mcmanus.

If its a last minute deal just as a different option then i'd take him.
At the moment, i think we could find better.
-
Can't he stay as a coach or something
-
What do we think?
-
Aye, but its not as tight as what we need. They need 2/3 more wins? We need to win everygame really to stay away from threat, plus we really have something to prove.
Celtic will use the next few games to build experience for the less experienced players, riordan, sno a few youth players, perhaps brown (the keeper?) aswell.

Does it really matter?
He wasn't worth the 750k.
