  1. There's some very good points in that. And this is probably the feeling most of the bears share. I think we have enough to get past Kaunus or the Andorran mob (in the unlikely event they produce a miracle) but after this round we will struggle with the set of players we have just now. I really hope that the management and the board aren't so naive to think that this squad will reach the Champions league and win the league comfortably. Can you imagine the outrage if we find ourselves suddenly at the 1st of September with no Champions League to look forward to and the same squad of players as we have just now?
  2. I'm fed up with this saga now. Let's move on and get a decent centre-half in the door. Along with 2 midfielders, a right back, left back and at least 1 winger. Oh well, i can dream can't I?
  3. Hemdani's done okay for us, nothing spectacular. He's had the odd good game and he's had the odd howler as well. I would prefer if he went. Off Topic a little,. why do we suddenly need to have a defensive midfielder in our team in every game? Okay, in Europe it's clearly needed as we don't have the players to pummell a class european side for 90 minutes, in fact ,more often than not we are the team being pummelled for 90 minutes. In the SPL, I don't see the need for one. The perfect answer would be to buy another cracking centre half to play alongside the king and have two good centre midfielders in there, Thommo and ANother who, hopefully has a huge engine and the ability to drive on into the box.
  4. Gazza has been deteriorating for years, how somebody close to him never seen this coming is a mystery. I don't know when he done the china documentary but that was a cry for help if ever i've seen one. As for a job at Rangers, i don't think it would be the best thing for him or the club. If his head was together and he didn't come with all this baggage then I'm in no doubts that he would have had a lot to offer either our first team, reserves or the boys. I fear that Gazza's problems have been discovered too late. I hope he gets better, I idolised him when he was here but I also lost some respect for him when he battered his wife, i suppose all the signs were there for us all to see that this genius was on the slippery slope.
  5. Rangers 4 - Unwashed 0 Fgs: Cousin
  6. Absolutely i'd take him. He's now getting a game regularly for Everton and its showing in his performances. I've always thought he was a good player and even though he supports the unwashed i reckon he would come. The stumbling block now would be the cost, but as far as talent goes i think he's better than what we've got just now.
  7. I love it, can't wait for the game tomorrow. C'mon the Scotland!!
  8. Buffel is ineffective down the right flank and so is Naismith, so in my opinion just have Beasley and McCulloch down either flank If Buffel has as much ability as everyone seems to think he has, then he would be able to play every position on the park.
  9. Too much of a gamble to play him against the tims. well worth it, Thomson or Ferguson simply don't have the ability to split a defense like Buffel Let Hemdani and Ferguson get on with the nitty gritty in the middle and allow Buffel to work his magic The guy hasn't played 1st team football for near enough a year. I would rather see Naismith up front with JCD or Cousin.

  11. Aye, it's terrible isn't it Sure is. Why should he feel he should be a contender for these games when he hasn't tried a leg in the last 2 years? Hasn't tried in two years my hairy arse! When utilised in his proper position he's a fantastic player. Does every Rangers player have to run round the park like a horny drunk to prove he is putting in effort? Buffel is our most creative player, sticking him out on the wing like Eck & PLG persisted with, nullified his game. I'm not saying he hasn't got the talent, because i think he has. I think its quite clear he doesnt have the heart or the drive that we need. If we could create a player with Buffels ability, Novos heart and JCD's drive and power that would be an incredible force. And his proper position is?

  13. He annoys me, he always seems desperate to play in the big games.
  14. looks good but no thanks. Old firm need to quit there obesssion with hibs ! I don't think its an obsession, they just seem to be producing the best youngsters at the moment. Seriously though, how many have went on to prove themselfs at a higher level? Quite a few to be honest. Ok Riordan isn't getting a game with the unwashed, however, Caldwell, Brown and Killin seem to be doing well over there. Whether or not you class that as a higher level is a different issue. Thomson is getting a regular game for us, Kenny miller seems to have carved out a decent career and Garry O'Conner is doing pretty well for Brum. A few have probably slipped by but that's the ones that i can think of just now.
