Surely Eli's 4th quarter drive has to go down as one of the best in SB history?
Good to see Bill Belichick storming off at the end of the game too. But yep, as was said in this thread before, a QB is only as good as his O-line, and while the Patriots O-line has been phenomenal this season, they just got bullied by the Giants D.

Eli was immense, Strahan was immense, the whole NYG team was immense.
Up ye Brady!! That was one hell of a nailbiting drive at the end from Manning, couldnt believe he managed to stay up and get the huge pass off to Tyree, and what a catch it was as well.

This is a good player we have here, very exciting prospect when he came thru at Villa, went to Fulham but the new manager seems to want to build his own team.
Exactly the type of player we have been crying out for, roams from box to box, creative, scores goals, and is a diehard bluenose.
I hope to god we have the option of signing him after the loan!!

Wasn't Nicolae Dica valued at around the same price as Lafferty? A terrifically talented attacking midfielder who has been watched by a few top clubs, or a second rate Burnley player?
And what about that Galitsios, the Greek right back? Rumours were we could get him for half the price of Lafferty!
Come on WS, I can only hope we sign some quality in the summer.

Its pretty unbelievable, but the SPL is gradually (very,very slowly mind) improving. Falkirk are a team who like to get the ball down and play attractive, attacking football, and Mark McGhee has Motherwell playing well and going out looking for goals, same with Dundee Utd.
Its definately a change from 3-4 years ago, where everyone bar us and the Tic would throw men behind the ball and pray not to be humped by 3 goals or more.

What interests me about this game is that the Giants came VERY close to beating the Patriots in the regular season game, so they must have every confidence of going out and getting it done this time. Any given Sunday, and all that.

Anyone fancy NYG for this one? I reckon theyre definately in with a shout, but if Brady and co really turn it on it could be a loooonnngg night for the Giants. I'd like to see Michael Strahan win a Superbowl tho, and if Eli Manning led his team to victory, would everyone get off his back and allow him to step out of Peyton's shadow?

Tainio would be a great signing, although unless Hemdani goes (which i cant really see) it would seem very unlikely WS would try to sign him. As for him being part of the Hutton deal, I'd rather keep Hutton.

My Hearts supporter mate used to wind me up something hellish when Burley was at Hearts, and Skacel was banging them in every week. He has proven he can cut it at SPL level, wouldn't mind seeing him here.
I had the last laugh over my pal tho, look at the Jambos now haha

Seems as though hes not scared to get the ball down and run at a defender, which is a good thing.
His crossing looked very good as well, hopefully see more of him this season.

OK so we would all love the Edersons and the Kerzhakovs etc to sign for us, but who do we realistically see coming to us, either in the transfer window or in the summer?
