  1. England are playing decent, but the wickets made it as easy as you could hope for on a day 3 pitch. Very slow and flat- balls did nothing today. Didn't expect that, thought it would deteriorate further as it looked to be getting tricky yesterday.
  2. How far can he realistically take Bournemouth. He has done as just about as good of a job that is realistically possible - the only can be down.
  3. Aside from the obvious reasons, with the bout of illness to Archer and Broad especially, I never understood not giving them an extra days rest by batting first. It was a decision that seemed always likely to have England chasing the game.
  4. I am scratching my head why Root elected to field first. Tbh, the scoreline flatters England.
  5. The Aussies are starting to look like a properly good team just now. Fantastic fast attack and Lyon is a top class spinner. Middle order still looks weakish, but they are only a player or two away from being the clear #1 test side IMO.
  6. Make the rule easier to understand. Generally VAR has been ok except offside decisions, but its the new rules fault rather than the tech where the problem come - under the old rule ( certainly as I understood it) he seems about 1.5 to 2 feet onside. Absolutely nobody would think that was a controversial goal if it was given before VAR or in a league without VAR. The leading foot or head is easier to understand.
  7. I can't see how that Pukki goal is offside at all. No part of him looks offside when the ball forward is played. Bizarre decision imo, and explantion has me scratching my head
  8. Wilder has dererent there. He's like a snake, in the sense that you've got respect the sharp end. You can't walk him down without taking risk. I still think Wilder beats Joshua, simply because I think Joshua is relatively easy to time. Tbh I think Joshua is tailor made for Wilder, and Wilder jumps on opponents when they are hurt - he is a terrific finisher (even if not stylish to watch). Joshua would have the better of the fight, but Wilder only needs a chance. Fury v Joshua - less so. Not sure who I would pick there.
  9. But... he does possess freakish explosiveness. Whilst technically limited, it really isn't a bad trait for a guy who's job is punching.
  10. Negative tactics from Joshua, but it was the smart fight that gave the much shorter man no real chance. The big ring helped a lot too. I do think Joshua loses to both Fury and Wilder. Both are big enough. Ruiz is a dangerous fighter who nobody will want a part of. Wee fat guy, but hits hard and fast - could be hell for many a champion. He might find the next phase of his career hard to catch a break.
  11. Joshua is fighting boring but its working
  12. Joshua fighting like he should have fought! Using his physical advantage to keep Ruiz off.
  13. He was a pundit until not that long ago. I liked his bluntness in the Debate.
  14. Do folk still pull sickies? However. I am self employed so sickies don't really work.
  15. Its midnight in Saudi. 1am in the UAE..... if its on schedule. Having it out here, then moving it to a time that's inconvenient as fuck to those living here, just proves that the money talks and Saudi just buying in the prestige.... but the fight would never be shown at like 7pm on a Friday night (in the UK).
  16. Saudi on a Saturday night/Sunday morning is an awful venue, not least because the weekend is Friday and Saturday here. It won't get underway until after 2am here. It's like having fight at 2.30 am on a Monday morning in the UK. I'm in the Middle East and won't see the fight due to, like most people, I am working the next day. Been a lot of grumbles from ex-pats saying the same thing. We have got a massive fight - and indeed sports event - right on our doorstep, and most of us won't get to see it live..... Sort of defeats the purpose of having it here.
  17. Feels so good to have a winning team again
  18. Questions have got to be asked how England can be sitting in very good position at close on day 1, with healthy score on the board and.... go on to lose heavily by an innings to a New Zealand side that - Watling aside - played well with a tidy and disciplined game, but nothing extraordinary. A lot good on day 1 for England, but turned a winning position into a very heavy defeat. Seriously after day 1, you'd be getting 25/1+ on New Zealand winning by an innings!
  19. Tyson was a mauler, and the most dangerous fighter I've seen. He had so much more about him than what Wilder does.
  20. Wilder is probably the most dangerous puncher I've seen. Not saying the hardest puncher, or most dangerous fighter but..... he has proven plenty of times now that he has a nack of timing and explosiveness that is incredibly effective and he is doing at championship level - albeit rarely against top tier fighters. No chance he stays undefeated until career end, he is too limited, but he can beat any fighter at any time. .
  21. An absolute pumping on the cards thanks to the batsmen in the shite 1st innings The one silver lining is this boy. He is going to be a superstar and get even quicker as he grows
  22. It doesnt seem to be a fast scoring wicket, which I suppose brings the draw into play. We are going into day 4 still on the first innings. But NZ are back in control.
  23. Aussies have made easy scoring. Pakistan will do well to avoid an inning defeat.
