  1. Imo,

If we had been patient, and not spat the dummy when he took a disliking to Barry and the lad culture of the club.

We would be a completely transformed club, Le Guen would have brought more coaches from the continent and instilled a concentration on fitness and technique all the way down the club.

No one can predict what would have happened, but our short sightedness allowed us to miss out on something big imo.

  2. Probably the best for both parties to part company, It's sad how his Career has panned out.

Before Smith got injured, he did look like he a great future at the Rangers and IMO had the makings to be a future captain.

If he does go in Jan i wish him all the best :beer2:

Exactly could have been a great, another wasted Scottish talent.

  3. Can't wait to have Naismith back. I just don't know where he's going to play?

He won't get a game ahead of Miller or Boyd so I guess if he does play then it will be out of position.

I don't think he will. Not this season anyway. Walt will put him in the reserves. Or maybe Left back.

  4. Assuming Walt doesn't inhibit their development by staying or get rid of them.

There are some great youth players at our club that I believe (under any other manager) would be destined for the 1st team.

John Fleck - obvious, but we will have to see if he comes back from his injury the same player, or if its recurring which it very well could be.

Archie Campbell - I think hes as much of a prospect as Fleck.

Jordan McMillan - Big Lee's understudy, will have to wait his chance, hope he goes on loan.

Andrew Shinnie - Fantastic player, almost 20 and almost wasted, hopefully his loan spell at Dundee shoes Walt he could fit in.

Others - Jamie Ness and Efrem.

Send them on loan if we are never going to play them.

Anyone comments lads? Or others you would like to add?

  5. Well brethren you take Walcott OUT of that team (when he joins Man C) there'll be no Englishmen left it that team. Is THAT WHAT YOU WANT AT RANGERS? You're telling me we've plenty in reserve! And how many make it to the 1st team at Arsenal? Join up the dots FFS.

He is not going to Man City, I don't know where you're getting that from.

McMillan, Shinnie, Loy, Fleck are all decent Scottish players that will play for Rangers in the future. As docspiderman said, Arsenal will be having a lot of English players coming though shortly.

Shinnie and Loy must be coming up for 21, they've been wasted already. Fleck will have made fewer than 10 appearances for the first team by the team Walt leaves in 2010 (if he does leave).

  6. Niceties aside, hes finished. Id rather he didn't get another contract. Had high hopes for the lad, sad his career is ruined, but thats business, we're not a charity.

Finished my arse. He had the same injury on his opposite knee. No reason why he can't come back bigger and better!

But until he's fully recovered and back to full fitness then he shouldn't be offered a new deal.

A big fear would be if he comes back with even less pace than he had before. No deal until he is back and proved that he is still able to play at spl level, we have wasted too much money on players unable to be fit enough to play games.

Exactly both knees, hes done. I dont mean to say he'll have to retirte, but at this level, SPL/ Europe/ international he'll never be the player he was progressing in to - like Stevie Smith.

  7. Aint gonna come through.

In Scottish terms, hes just a kid at 21.

Debut will come around 23 if we still have him.

On a serious note, its fucking ridiculous the players rotting in our reserves. Fitting one or 2 in every now and then isnt gonna lose us the league fuck sake.

  8. We could have a golden generation of Scottish youngsters on our hands.

Well could have, but the Dinosaur will fuck it up.

Loy will never come through, neither will Fleck or the others.

Fleck is good enough (if he comes back that is) for first team football - its the SPL ffs.

And Loy is like 20, too late to come in now.

Short sighted bastard Smith is, fucking up the best young group we've had in a long time, id be suprised if one came through.

Murray should be on his back, would save money.

Id Walter eventually leaves, it will be too late for most these kids.

  10. Lets hope it's not the start, of another great Scottish footballing talent being plagued with knee injuries!

I honestly think it will be.

Knee damage, no doubt it will be recurring.

Going by the curse of the Scottish youngster, this and the series of injuries that follow will see him barely play this season, and stunt his progression.

    Bet hes done.

  11. I'd love our players to pack in the International team, due to the abuse they are subject to from the so called 'supporters'.

What I want to know is, where did it all go wrong? When did a Scotland game become a place where you could feel comfortable ripping into one of the players just 'cause he plays with the Rangers? If you boo your own at a Rangers game then there is always someone who will stand up and argue back about it... The person caught doing it would be shot down in flames. Why doesn't this happen any more at Hampden? We've let these Tartan Trannies and Tims take over at Scotland games. They can abuse our players all day without the fear of a good kick up the jacksi! It's sickening!

Lads, sometimes in this area some of us are as bad as the tims. Alot of them won't support Scotland cause they feel their players are booed and not welcome (and they feel that we make up the majority of the Scottish support that are on an anti-celtic agenda), the result of this is the majority of Scotland supporters now being from the highlands! Illl always support Scotland.
