  1. Does anybody know what happened to the radio stream (I think it might have been the Rangers World stream) I tried it for the Kilmarnock game a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't working. If anyone has a radio link can they PM me a link, can't listen to the BBC Scotland stream since I live outside the UK.

  2. i see people talking about different versions or patches for fm09

how do i find out what ive got,

i only bought the game 2 weeks ago and steam done a pain in the arse long update last week (where me steam servers are bollocks thread lol)

    anyone help?

When you start a new game it will ask you what database you want to use, it defaults to the latest patch so if you've got 9.3 in this window you have the latest patch.

Since you are using steam you will always have the latest update available as long as you are conected to the internet.

  3. Woods was pre back-pass rule so I dont know if his kicking would be as poor as Klos's but in every other department Woods was the better keeper, out of all the keepers I've seen play for the Gers he was second only to Goram.

  4. He's had some good games and some awful games this season. I think Bougherra has been by far our best defender and Weir struggles when he's not there.

Been a good signing but we should have brought in a replacement in the summer. If only we had signed him 10 years ago!

I agree with Muff here, Bougherra has been far and away our best defender the other 3 who play along side him have either been average or poor most games as for Weir almost every goal or chance we give up is a cross from the right side of our defence straight over his head (because he can no longer get off the ground) for someone to get a chance at the back post.

  5. Marcotti, generally know's his football and I think this list is aimed at his readership at The Times (i.e. mostly English Premeirship Fans) many of the players on this list have been linked with Premiership teams or already play for them. The likes of Messi, Bojan, Pato, Kroos or Aguero etc would unlikely move to the Premiership because they are already at big clubs this is why I think they are omitted from this list. This list is just who you may probably see playing in the Premiership in the near future.

I'm sure if he was writing this article for a Spanish or Italian paper about half the players on this list would not be mentioned.

  6. GK- McGregor

    RB- Whittaker

    CB -Bougherra

    CB- Broadfoot

    LB- Papac

    RM- Burke

    CM - Ferguson/Mendes/Davis

    CM- Ferguson/Mendes/Davis

    LM - Aaron

    ST- Boyd

    ST- Miller

in a normal 442 formation here

    Subs Bench

    Alexander

    Weir

    Beasley

    Fleck

    Edu

    Velicka

    Novo

You need 2 outfield U-21's on the bench mate. Edu is 22 i think

Is it not just 2 u-21s in the 1st team??? if it is the Aaron and fleck cover it

Its 3 U 21's and they have to be outfield players.

  7. I play 4-4-2 with fullbacks and all midfielders pushing forward with direct quick passing out to both flanks and on the counter attack. I'm 12 points clear in March, it took until November to settle on these tactics and I was 4 points behind THEM then.

  8. Sergio Asenjo

    Rui Patricio

    Remi Riou

    Vincenzo Fiorillo

    ochoa

He was probably the best keeper in FM 08, but will cost you 12-15M.

The best value for money keeper in FM08 was Federico Vilar hes 31 plays for Atlante in Mexico and in FM 08 always signed for an Italian team (Usually Sampdoria) and I could never seem to score against him, you should be able to get him for a couple of million. I have not tried any new keepers in this game since McGregor's doing well and not complaining yet!

  9. Has anyone tried Danny Wilson at centre back? I play him alongside Bougherra or Broadfoot, I have him learning off Bougherra and his ratings are rapidly improving, he's good in the air and left-sided (it's difficult to find good left-sided centre backs!) his ave rating is around 7.30 and has played most of the matches in my current 10 game clean sheet run.

  10. Just beat the Dhims 6-1 in the december old firm to overtake them at the top :bouncy: , a Boyd hat-trick (his only decent performance so far gettin punted if he doen't dramatically improve in the second half of the season) 2 from Fleck and Davis got the last.

Really struggled for first half of the season to get convincing results (only 2 domestic defeats, away against THEM in the league and league cup) most wins were only by one goal but now am starting to bang the goals in since that 6-1 result, scored 6 in the next game and now get 3 or 4 regularly.

Just signed Fletcher from Hibs for 3.5M was worth 3.2M but their board forced the sale.

Current side is 4-4-2 with full backs and all midfielders pushing on and focus passing to both flanks

    GK. McGregor

RB. J. Zebina (Signed for 1M from Juve) sold Whittaker for 3.5M

    LB. S. Smith

    CB. M. Bougherra

CB. Broadfoot or D. Wilson (from the Reserves)

RM. S. Davis (changed him to accomplished RM in editor)

CM. B. Ferguson or P Mendes

CM. K. Thomson or M. Edu

    LM. J. Fleck or Beasley

    CF. K. Boyd

CF. K. Lafferty (but Fletcher will take his place)

Sold Novo to Reading for 4M <cr> in january now have over 10M to spend and 35M in the Bank, saving up for a big spree in the summer

  11. Herd they are making a GB squad for the Olympics.... who do you think would be in the team???

Wonder what the tims reaction will be  :unionflag:

They'll be cheering on Ireland and none of their players stand a chance of making the squad.

Only Hutton at the moment in my opinion stands a chance of making the starting eleven

    What about Craig Gordon????

Not really a better keeper thats brittish is there????

Can you not only have 3 under 23's or something ?

The squad is to be made up of u23 players with a couple overage players so by the time 2012 comes around the players eligible will be from current u19 national squads so people like John Fleck and Aaron Ramsey etc will be the type of players selected.

  12. i think a ipod touch would be cool but for the amount of stuff i would want to store on it they just arent big enough. I would be looking to get a mp3 player with 80gb or bigger storage

The new Archos Internet Tablet has a 250GB hard drive on the largest model and plug in a mobile dongle and you have mobile internet or if in a wifi zone no need for the dongle.

  13. I just looked up the archos, first time i've heard and seen it and it looks good, how much are they?

It depends on which model you want for the mp4's latest models you're talking £200-350 the one I mention above is £350 with another £150 for the accessories (DVR docking station(for connection to TV) and plug-ins (e.g. HD, Cinema,Sound etc the internet plug-in is free for this years models). The smallest new model is 60GB and about £250 and there is a 30GB model with 3.5G technology meaning high speed mobile internet but thats £350.
