It's nice to think as a fan that the guys that pull on that famous blue jersey do it for the love of the club, but for most of them we know that's not the case. How can you expect foreign guys to understand the tradition and what it means compared to the Scottish gus who have grown up with the club? One of the main reasons they pick us over another club is the money so I think there should be incentives decided at the start of each season so the squad knows what is on offer if they perform and bring trophies to the football club. I also believe that with Rangers in a very poor financial state we should be looking towards moving to incentive based contracts with lower basic wages with bonuses related to win/draw/loss, european qualification and trophies.
