  1. Meh i said to my mate at the game last night that he never appealed for the penalty so is it a crime now to get out the way of a tackle ?

He did, did he not? He turned around with his arms out to the ref as soon as he hit the floor.

He was quite obviously jsut saying sorry. I think he went for the dive, but a milisecond after started it decided what a bad idea it was.

Personally, I say keep him for the small teams.

  2. Messi is a superb player, but I think Rooney's completely underrated because he's British.

    I'd have them both :)

No, he is overrated because he is english

If you think Rooney is overrated, you're just thick.

    I think he's under rated. Everyone think's he's shit, I jsut think he's average.

  3. There is a section for this.

Depends what position you were going to play them to be honest. (tu)

Ronaldo is a winger Rooney is a CF.

This isn't a Ronaldo vs Rooney thread though. (tu)

Messi is a winger, that can play upfront. Rooney is a striker that can play on the wing.

I would make my decision on where you would play them.

If both were to play in their natural position, messi would be the clear winner

Imo, you can't compare them if Messi is playing as a winger and Rooney as a striker. They are two different positions. You wouldn't compare a goalkeeper to a central midfielder. (tu)

That is a poor analogy imo. They are similar enough positions to compare. They are both "fowards".

Striker is used to score goals, winger is used to provide chances for the strikers to score goals. Two different positions.

A striker is a position? :anguish:
