  1. From a Yank... DMB has been in a rut for a couple of years...a combo of injuries and "partying" have not helped his cause. Maybe he's done some soul-searching and is putting 100% into being a full-time professional. Hope so...because if he's able to maintain this form it will free up Dempsey to move up top with Altidore in the USA starting 11. Altidore and Demps up top with Donovan and a fully fit DMB on the wings is a good looking group.
  2. I haven't been on for quite some time. Just checking in to get an update on Edu's fitness level. Is he expected back soon? Thanks in advance.
  3. LOL... A joke of a selection. Our National Team coach, Bob Bradley, made his bones coaching Princeton University. Ouch. BB's selections have come under more and more fire. Beasley is one of his boys as BB coached him in Chicago. DMB is CLEARLY not a LB and there are several wingers that are better than him. Mystifying to say the least.
  4. Just a quick update on DMB's performance against Costa Rica...in a word...FOUL. An FYI, Costa Rica plays on field turf...really bad field turf...and has a ridiculous home record...a very tough place to play. Having said that, DMB played at left back. His touch was terrible, he looked VERY slow and his defensive performance (shape and 1 vs 1 performance) looked amateurish. He was lined up against a player that he was a team mate with in Chicago...Herron. At Chicago, DMB was clearly the superior player. Against Costa Rica, Herron absolutely dominated. Honestly, DMB would have a tough time making an impact on a MLS roster. His biggest asset, his pace, has all but disappeared. Without much touch, he's become a liability...at least for the USMNT. Sorry for the bad report, but DMB's fuutre at Rangers should be in serious doubt.
  5. It's pretty clear that after today's drab affair, Big Mo has been, and will continue to be, a major player for Rangers. Today, his athleticism, ball winning and all around 100% effort were sorely missed. Anyone who has played the game knows how important it is to have a player like Mo on your side. It makes life MUCH easier on the pitch. However, a win is a win!
  6. There's something to be said of athleticism, ball winning and all around toughness...Mo has those traits...something this side drastically needed during the stretch run. He brings an X-factor to the pitch. I think he's cemented his place in the starting 11 and he'll only get better.
  7. Coming from a yank... DMB's form has been in decline since his last year at PSV. Injuries and partying have not helped. He has clearly lost a step since his PSV days. If you get the chance, watch him against the CONCACAF minnows when the USMNT plays. In the old days, he was clearly the fastest man on the pitch...now he has trouble against every single winger that he faces. IMO, if DMB wants to reclaim some of his old glory...1) get healthy...2) start practicing clean living...3) train properly...4) regain some confidence by playing in a league that suits his style. fwiw...he really is a heckuva nice guy...
  8. Thanks for the suggestions... As for Dempsey...not a chance. He wants to stay in England. It would be a shocker. Ironically, Dempsey is much better for club than country. He's never really showed much at the country level outside of a couple of moments of brilliance. As far as the Senior US roster, I wouldn't necessarily recommend anyone at this moment in time. Most of the creative players are in the U23 and U20 pools, but probably wouldn't be suited to Scottish football. Actually, there's one player...Holden (I believe he's got a Scottish passport)...who's extremely creative and has a high football IQ. He's been a stud at the U20 level and showed some nice stuff at the Olympics. However, he's still making his "bones" in the MLS. He's finally the starting CM for Houston. I rate him very high (if that means anything...LOL). He's should get a look this summer for the USMNT.
  9. Yank here and new to the board. Where in the world can I view Rangers game highlights or mini recaps? Thanks in advance. FWIW, Edu is going to be a stud. You need to remember that he's still an infant when it comes to professional football. From a tactical perspective, he's literally where most European professionals are at age 17 to 18.
