  1. Youre right we aren't as good as the team who finished 3rd in la liga and were in a higher pot than Real Madrid

    Exactly!

We outplayed them first half tae, and that pattern looked like it was going to be followed in the 2nd half, until another poor decision from the referee and a lack of concentration in defence.

Even then the only reason they scored is because we only pushed higher and harder; the ambition was great and what everyone always cries out for, never sat back once. And the consolation went to prove just that.

Now let's take Stuttgart and Unirea at the Brox', hopefully a gung-ho style performance in Romania and last 16 here we come :)!

We're better than that two bob German mob!

  2. I'm feeling good after tonight:)

As the op stated and most others have, had it been 1-0 us and a man up, it would surely have been a totally different outcome!

But Stuttgart drew away to Unirea with the concession of a late goal, which is a massive bonus, and we got that draw away to them in Stuttgart.

So I feel, home wins in our next two games, and a point in Unirea at least.. And that would be enough.

(Assuming that if we become level on points head to head comes into account?)

  3. Cech

    Johnson Terry Carvalho Evra

    Barry

    Gerrard Lampard

    Arshavin

    Rooney Drogba

:pipe: minus messi maicon and iniesta that would be my worldXI also. :)

this is supposed to be a conventional 4-1-2-1-2

    didnt come out well :L

You would have barry in your world 11 <cr>

aye. I think he's class. And infact, fuck. Iniesta I'd want to keep an English trio in midfield!

  4. I'm shocked that after 5/6 games people are including Vermaelen in a Premiership best 11.

And on top of that I'm struggling to see what Bosinwga has done that warrants his inclusion either.

Don't get wrong he's a decent enough player, but the fact that he is getting so much love in this thread just highlights how few top top drawer right backs there are in The Premiership at the moment.

Its obvious its cause folk watched MOTD last night and seen he scored 2 nice goals

To be fair. He hasn't put a foot out of place.

And just because he has only played 5/6 games, why not put him in!?

He is on form. Not just the goals.

Torres hasn't exactly been on fire, but he's in most teams.

  5. SAF's interview. He is such a cunt.

"We could have won 7-0, if we defended as we usually do and didnt make silly mistakes"

How about if Tevez had put his chance away as he would 8 times out of 10 on the stroke of half time?

How about if City had defended better, and realised their mistake and better narked Fletcher for the 3rd?

How about if Richards hadn't strayed and stayed with Owen?

    ClassA cunt, he really is.

He's a class act - get it right up the blue half of Manchester!

He is a bellend mate. Looks like we'll just have to agree to disagree!

    Still, he is no Wenger..!

    :anguish:

Arsene Wenger isn't a patch on Sir Alex Ferguson!

I mean in terms of being an arsehole..

    That's alot of ifs.

He's not there to tell the truth, he's there to play mind games and hes one of the best at it.

Exactly, it's alot of if's. But Ferguson was playing on an if.

And that's just how stupid it looks.

They won 4-3, fair and square, could have been a goal more.

Yet he still has to give some BS about how they could have won 7-0.

  7. I'm pretty disappointed with the result and also my bet in that respect (so both as a fan and as a gambler) but 3 goals at Old Trafford and an ability to play as well as they did at Old Trafford, there's still several folk to come back from injury, City have much to be positive to be about.

Indeed. A team on the up, obviously.

And except a spirited second half, Utd have fuck all to be positive about.

And that is of course the best thing about it :)

How did you work that one out? :pipe:

Outplayed first half, bar the first 15 minutes - due to City being terrible.

Then as i said, spirited second half, and a poor City saved them.

They are a far weaker team - clearly - minus Ronaldo, and the two who should naturally be vying for his spot (Nani and Valencia) didn't even get on today.

If either Rooney or Giggs (class, class act) gets injured, they are well and truly fucked.

    IMO of course.
