  1. I don't care what sanctions the retards at the SFA impose on us, so long as we get back to playing football. I have already renewed my season ticket and can't wait to go to Ibrox and watch us play our way back to the top. Hopefully will only take 3 seasons, if it takes longer due to the transfer embargo so be it, the bastards in the SPL will suffer more than us. WATP.

  2. I will still support the Scotland, irrespective of my dislike of the twats running the SFA. I have lived in England for 27 years but still want them to lose every game. I would happily support a British team but can't see that coming too soon, olympics aside. However I must confess to thinking well done USA for giving the SFA's team a severe spanking.

  3. Really?

I can only imagine what you'll think upon learning that we, The Rangers, played in the FA Cup and progressed to the semi-final of said competition.

PS: we lost out to Aston Villa.

Knew about us playing in the FA Cup semi final, a fact I quote to my English colleagues all the time. Sadly can't see us being allowed into the English league set up any time soon, not unless Sky demand it.

  4. I don't think we will ever play in England. Our only hope of escaping our Scottish backwater is the formation of a European Super League. With our fan base we would no doubt be invited but would probably find ourselves in a second division. EUFA will have to do something to help clubs such as ourselves trapped in small & financially inadequate leagues. Sadly it may take many, many years before this happens.

  5. Lee McCulloch - £2.926 Million - 29 Years Old

    Pedro Mendes - £3.3 Million - 30 Years Old

    Kenny Miller - £2.288 Million - 28 Years Old

    Andrius Velicka - £1 Million - 29 Years Old

    James Beattie - £1.584 Million - 32 Years Old

These transfers should never have happened yes some of them have done a job for us but that's just over £11 Million in transfers we had no chance of getting back we should never pay over a million on fees for players in their late 20's of 30's any players we spend money on should be in their teens, early or mid 20's and we should for the most part stay away from England as it's massivley over priced just look at Lafferty he was worth nowhere near the £3.75 Million we paid for him. Players like Jelavic for us and Izzaguire/Kayal/Wanyama that the scum have signed are the way forward. THe Porto and Ajax models are the ones we need to be following and we could be doing far better than we have been.

Totally agree with your comments, youth or earlt twenties is the only way to go from now on.

  6. There is no ban so far as I know, only individuals making decisions about how they will spend their time and money.

If you feel so strongly about it you should go to the games in question and give your financial support to other Clubs.

I live 170 miles from Ibrox and chose to spend my money there, if there were more away games nearer Lancashire I would probably go to more away games. I chose not to go away games, but I wouldn't advocate that others shouldn't go just because their fans/chairman have it in for us. I fully respect fans who decide thay don't wan't to go to Dundee united, Hibs etc, I just worry that the SPL cannot afford to lose any of our medium sized teams. A league of minnows will not make attract sponsorship etc, let alone TV revenue. Man City got £60.6m for winning the premiership, I suspect we only got about £2m for last season. It's not fair but that's life, until we can play in a better league we have to have a care for our opposition no matter much we may detest their actions. We are Rangers we are better than all the rest. WATP

  7. I'm just as angry as everyone at the punishments that have so far been handed out to our great club & can understand the desire to punish those who seem to most relish our predicament. However the reason there is so little money available from Sky and the rest is the Scottish game is at best dire, with the exception of the Old Firm games nobody outside Scotland is interested in watching our league games. As a season ticket holder living in Lancashire I travel to Ibrox for almost every game, work permitting. I seldom ever visit away grounds, last season's title decider at Kilmarnock being an exception, however I would not like to see a ban of away games in force. Our team deserves the support of our travelling fans and sadly the teams we play rely on this revenue to survive. I see no benefit in weakening our opponents further, with no other league to play in at present, we need a stronger challenge from the other sides to drive us forward & hopefully increase interest in the SPL beyond Scotland.

  8. Thank you for your recent e-mail relating to our partnership with the Scottish FA.

Grassroots football plays an important role in our local communities. For the last 10 years, McDonalds has proudly supported the development of grassroots youth football in Scotland.

Through our Community Partnership with the Scottish FA we have worked with volunteers, coaches, clubs and leagues throughout the country to provide opportunities for children to play football regularly and enjoy their experience. We have developed over 1600 new qualified coaches and supported the delivery of a coaching programme in schools across Scotland for boys and girls.

We are now working to support the development of grassroots clubs through the Quality Mark programme. There are thousands of unsung heroes all over Scotland, without whom there would be no grassroots game. A recent survey into the grassroots game highlighted the increasing time and resource pressures that are hampering the development of grassroots clubs.

We are committed to supporting their hard work and dedication to youth football in Scotland. McDonalds does not fund or get involved with the elite end of the game or decisions made on the governance of the professional game at any stage

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to comment.

  9. I'd happily pay £100 per year membership, but would like it spent solely on finding & developing youth players/under 21s from around the world. The only way we can hope to compete with the big clubs in Europe is to find talent, develop it and sell on after the lads have contributed towards our cause for a few years.

  10. Tbf, I think the OP was proposing Walter Smith as a figurehead to bring the support together rather than as a business man chairman. I'd imagine a Chief Exec role for a de facto chairman with Walter as the figurehead is what the OP had in mind.

That is exactly what i meant.

  11. When we finally come out of administration, can we please have a Chairman who would never do anything to harm the club we all love. No matter who ends up owning us I think they should appoint Walter Smith as Chairman, someone we can all rally behind to drive the club forward.

  12. Are you his Da or something? :D

Yes, I'm responsible for making him a bear, having been brought up in England in united/liverpool territary. Took him to his first Rangers game at the age of 7. Was at The Sheep Shaggers ground, Craig moore scored the winner.
