Sky wont take it on as they have no space in their schedules and ESPN will pay us very little. They could start SPL tv. I hear of a company that is selling a lot of equipment they will no longer need

They indeed would be a perfect kit..the ultimate kits but they are from the fantasy section on footballshirtculture.com
Our new kit will be on there first when it is leaked. Honestly though...this is far too late...Talk about missing the boat after winning the double. Classic Rangers marketing again... It should have been out after we got the cup..

Follow follow and Under a Union Jack...
Dont think we should bring back billy boys...every team has a version now and when the tarmacers start mimicking it ...well the blood boils
I think we should take on a novelty song this year...fuck it...why not..Bannana splits theme tune...its a classic

2 and 3 obv but singing the sash is not the kind of behaviour i would like from a politician
What is your problem with The Sash?
Sure l'm an Ulster Orangeman, from Erin's isle I came,To see my British brethren all of honour and of fame,
And to tell them of my forefathers who fought in days of yore,
That I might have the right to wear, the sash my father wore!
Chorus:
It is old but it is beautiful, and its colours they are fine
It was worn at Derry, Aughrim, Enniskillen and the Boyne.
My father wore it as a youth in bygone days of yore,
And on the Twelfth I love to wear the sash my father wore.
Chorus
For those brave men who crossed the Boyne have not fought or died in vain
Our Unity, Religion, Laws, and Freedom to maintain,
If the call should come we'll follow the drum, and cross that river once more
That tomorrow's Ulsterman may wear the sash my father wore!
Chorus
And when some day, across the sea to Antrim's shore you come,
We'll welcome you in royal style, to the sound of flute and drum
And Ulster's hills shall echo still, from Rathlin to Dromore
As we sing again the loyal strain of the sash my father wore!
the assosiation with being a protestant, i would like all politicians to be athiest
Och thats ridiculous...

Never in a million years will it happen any time soon. No one has any money to throw away at us. We are already 25 million in debt and the cost of buying the club itself as well as the investments needed to improve the club.. I think that its wishfull thinking that a knight in Arab armour will come and save us..
i thought that as well
but the new rumour doing rounds is that souness and his consortium are only planning to get a minority stake but put in maybe 20mill
just to help the club out
the only reason i take interest is that im sure souness still has gers shares does he not, would make sense to the guy to try anything out to help the club
No, Souness sold his shares back to murray when he left.
Why would anyone give Rangers £20m just to help out?
Anyway, for that amount of cash you could come close to buying a controlling interest.
the 20mill isnt just to "help out" it is to buy a share of the club, but not a majority share
and as for 20mill buying a controlling interest, that would make rangers worth just over 40mill, no chance as murray would want around 40mill for just a controlling stake if you as me
only way murray would sell the club "cheap" is if its an outright buyout where the new owner clears the debt etc
Souness should bring back the moustache

The farts always smell the same as the pies. Im not too sure that is such a good thing..

If you answer yes to the first question then it really could have been you in court on these preposterous charges. How would you feel then?
I presume that this will be another persecution of an individual Rangers fan that will be commented on but then ignored by the tens of thousands of our fans who have sung this song because it wasn't them or someone they know who was affected.
This is the kind of situation where we should be united and make a stand. We all know that the song is not racist and that any Rangers fan could have been handed a criminal record for singing it but I'm pretty sure it will pass without anything being done to help this Rangers fan.
Interestingly you make no attempt to suggest what you personally intend to do to 'help this fan'.
You rather self righteously remove yourself from it and delegate it to everyone else in a slightly condescendingly manner.
In response to your comments, I have not sung it at a game. Hence why I am 'removed' from the situation and have no alternative but to 'delegate' it to others who have replicated the words and actions of the fan found guilty.
My op was aimed at people who sing, and have sung it, at games, as they have committed the same 'crime' as the individual involved but have been fortunate enough tio escape censure.
Quite interestingly, you have not answered the question. Do you sing, or have you sung, it at games? If the answer is yes, what are you going to do, as it could quite easily have been you with a criminal record?
As for the condescension. If the tens of thousands who have sang it at games do nothing to support the Rangers fan then they are hypocrites.
Sadly, the days of the Rangers support being all for ona and one for all belong to another era. This case is another example of the fact that it is every fan for themself within our support.
What crap is that!!!! Every fan for themselves!!!! So we all have to sing that and support those who do even if you dont agree with it. The arguament about how "its freedom and free speach" falls in its face there if you cant appreciate that Rangers come from many groups of people and have differing opinion. Its a good thing that we do. Every supporter in Ibrox should be cheering on the team through good times and bad. The famine song is a social-cultural song that is easily misinterpreted due to non specific lyrics. I dont sing it because it damages the reputation of Rangers and that is more important than upsetting certain individuals who seem more concerned about their own needs to abuse others.
Support the club...

why dont we sing you hate this country why dont you go home surely the paedos and plastic paddies wont be upset by the truth
Yup..that works...not racist and cant be argued with.
-
Yet we keep buying it

Smith would never give him a chance
-
And of course:
God you really couldnt make this up - please remind me what country is this? Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Afghanistan, Eire?
How in gods name can these despicable morons be allowed to do this in OUR COUNTRY ?
I nearly almost said 'Why dont you go home' and protest in the Rhebel state - ooops, but sorry we arent allowed to say that are we? They may get (more?) offended !!
Wonder how many Juan Guy's and hoops tops will be there, showing their usual support for anything anti British !
That makes me so fucking angry..Dirty fuckers...I hate them..What the fuck have they got to do with our country...Thats going to cause shit big time

Why back shite?
Because it's the Famous Glasgow Rangers and everything that goes with it you are backing. If you refuse to back that because of dross such as Daily then.....
Rangers First. Rangers Overall.
Credit to the guy.
Christian Dailly was in the reserves then got called into the first team at a vital time. He did a good job for us at the end of the season.
He isn't a gifted player, but he will give his all in a game. Professional and commited.
Maybe dross was a tad strong , but no matter what , whether it's Daily or Sandy Jardine , I would always back Rangers to the hilt , so it's sad to see people refusing to back the insitution simply because of whats on the park as you buy into the whole package when you support Rangers , that includes loyalty to the end , no matter what.
Exactly!!!
Its always the ones that boo away and give the team crap that leave every saturday from the 75th minute..Weird eh..Loyalty thats what its all about..The word support means to support. We all know these guys arent the best we ever had..we know it..they know it but by being fickle isnt helping anyone.
-
See if they even took out the section on the famine being over and replaced it with the apparent meaning of plastic paddies then surely it cant be deemed as racist. It would also make more sense as the famine brought our Ulster kinsmen over here too. Its too easy for that lot to beat us with this and we do what they want by continuing to sing it. We are playing into their hands
-
I think to consolidate our position and adding a winger, left midfield and a defender..We have the basis of an ok team. Thomo back, Mendes rested up and Edu is a strong middle but we need the width. I dont see why we cant progress but we need more of a pressure game. I think its achievable though. I have every confidence that we will..
-
I dont think any of us are easy offended. Some of us just dont agree with it.
I personally get rather annoyed with people who dont care about the reputation of there club and are too wrapped up in their own selfish agendas... We have plenty of good songs about Glasgow Rangers and i dont think we always have to wind up the other half of Glasgow all the time. Yes sometimes but is it not better to sing about how are club is the greatest rather than how shitey it is over there. If you want to really wind them up....stop buying the Big Issue and then they wont be able to but a Sellick season tickets

I think Kappa is becoming ok again. Its got that retro style that a lot of people like. Kappa make amazing kits and they would bring a consistent and original kit. Nike use child labour to make expensive kits. That pisses me off. They all look the same too. Has anyone seen the new Dundee United top....bloody awfull..Our kits will look better whoever makes it once we get that stupid big black Carling logo off our kits. I would like it if we had the Unicef charities logo on our shirt. Its goof PR for the club a=nd it isnt a big cheap carling transfer

We should back the team . When fans (i say fans as they are not supporters if they are not supporting the team) give abuse to a player it knocks their confidence and makes them play worse. Its pretty obvious. If they are having a bad game..give them some encouragement..help them out.....help the team...
I just think we should always support the Rangers..I will go and see them play if they are bottom of the third as they are my team. I imagine the majority of us would too.

that just makes me need a pee

good times...thats a pretty bad spelling error when on a speach

Why don't you go hoooomeeeee
The famine is over, why don't you go home!
Honestly im shocked by the amount of "ahh nevur sang the famine song" on here, some people are such devout followers of the PC Brigade that their willing to ditch their connections with songs THEY'VE sung this season.
Seriously guys, stop trying to put yourself on a silver platter above the rest of us. Just accept that your legally "racists" and lets move on. Just like if you have diabetes you are also legally "insane". It quite frankly, means fuck all.
Fair play to anyone who has never sung the song for their own beliefs, i accept your values. For the rest of the self-righteous brigade, go fuck yourselves.
To the rest of the bears, together we stand strong if you are trying to point score against your own fans though, can you please go home?
We are all Rangers fans and all of us have differing opinions. That is fair enough. No one is trying trying to score points of our own fans , but some of us dont agree with it and are entitled to say so amongst our own group. Its the wonder of democracy and free speach. Not like what you would get over there in shitsville with their fascist racist scum fan base. We are Rangers fans and we are all different...but we all love our club and that is the most important thing. Getting behind our team and supporting our club through goof times and bad. We are the people..they are the paedos

Cheers mate.

i would love it if he had scored in the cuip final after that big pounding curly haired run...
He gets a lot of shit which is a shame as he is (like everyone else) played out of position. Shouldnt imagine the jeers helped his confidence..something we need to cut back on at times...But still.....no chance..

Also to be contreversial...if the SPL goes tits up...will this maybe give us a bigger chance to go to engerland or maybe start the Atlantic league.... The tv thing will have a bigger effect on the wee teams than us.
