Big blows for France's chances
Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke has been ruled out for a minimum of six months with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
The 23-year-old French international will have surgery on the injury sustained in training and will miss this summer's World Cup in Brazil.
Villa manager Paul Dumbert said: "It's a terrible blow both for Christian and for the club.
"But he'll work hard because that's what he does and he'll come back for us stronger than ever next season."

He played better than the majority of the team? So doing nothing at all in the second half, apart from getting in the way of Wallace and constantly losing balls to go out for throw ins (whenever he actually did have the ball) is better than the majority of the team? Arnold Peralta was more of a stand out
I also have no reason to slag the rest of the team in this thread cause it's about Aird's set pieces, which in truth (if yer no wearin yer pure mad mental blue tinted spectacles) are pish.

Now on to your blue tinted spec's claim, I'd be the first person to slag somebody if they had a bad game as it's been noted by many of users on here before and I'm never giving the credit where its due to players but on this occasion I give credit to wee Airdy because if it wasn't for him then we wouldn't have won today. Peralta was nothing special, thought Foster had a better game than he did tbh but that's beyond the point.

Fraser was diabolical today, even Derek Johnstone and Tom Miller were commenting on how bad he was throughout the second half, it's not just one bad free kick either, it's almost every free kick and corner, 10% of them are good, occasionally they will work, but it doesn't make up for the pish he hits in from set pieces 90% of the time. Game were you watching, Airdy played well You been drinking that toilet duck again? Aird was the best player in the first half

Pathetic performance as usual bar Gallagher when he came on. Thought Foster was quite good going forward today but was brutul defensively and I'am still yet to see what Robbie Crawford brings to the team.
