  1. This isn't a debate , this is being rubbished because the RST is being quoted. Answer: Absolutely nothing to do you, whatever i answer will only blind your response. I'll leave you lot to sit on the sidelines wringing your hands.
  2. Running a football club like your local social club....sounds like a great idea.... How would the ongoing funding of our wee social club work, revenues are falling all over the scottish game and we don't have Barcelona or Hamburgs huge tv deals to prop us up so how would this work ? Why rubbish it before being in receipt of all the details ?
  3. I don't know who Duffy is - i'm talking about the idea. Please feel free to share your inside track if your so "in the know". Are you saying you don't agree with fan's ownership of the club or that you don't think this guy is one who should put the idea forward? I'm saying (repeating myself now), "Duffy is NOT all he appears to be." I'd be careful hanging my dreams onto the coat-tails of this guy. That is all. There's many more than Duffy involved. That is FACT. You're an RST man I take it? I'm a Rangers man. My membership of ANY organistion is surely totally irrelevant to the future of Rangers.
  4. Nonsense? Have you taken half an hour so to even google some background information on this guy or are you believing all you read in the papers? After I read the article I didn't think it was that a bad an idea BUT then I went and found out more about guy and wasn't keen on what I found. Chris Robinson and Hearts are very relevant here, the Hearts fans were desperate to get rid of Robinson and people like George Foulkes, Gary McKay and others used this when Romanov came calling, they bit the hand off the first proposal that came their way just to get Robinson. We shouldn't make the same mistake with Murray. What happens if the fans membership scheme comes up short? What happens if its a miserable failure? It turns out a crazy egomaniac bought our club and look where we are now? RFE. I'm talking about the rush to dismiss this as an idea. Have i signed up for the scheme on the back of some limited information? Of course not. Any plan would have to have detailed info with guarantees, a business plan, insurance and a fall back position. Why when offer the chance to own the club would we not get 45,000 portions of £1000? (Obviously there will be some wealthy individuals out there willing to chuck in significantly more than that. Obviously we would need to have faith in any group putting forward the idea. I genuinely don't understand the rush to pooh-pooh the best idea that anyone has put forward so far. I'm not pooh-poohing the idea, as I said it was when I looked in Mr Duffy's background that alarm bells started ringing a little. We know nothing about this guy, I'm all for fans ownership and would invest but why get carried away? You might be say we shouldn't "pooh-pooh" it but at the same time I've see no real reason to champion this idea or Mr Duffy? The guy might underwrite the debt but given his own personal fortune, I don't see how he can he bail us out if the membership scheme fails. Moonlighter1, As i've said before too many punters on here are only interested in their own selfish agenda's not RFC. it seems the RST don't do irony. Why be in a mad dash to rubbish the idea if you have no concrete details ? Why not wait to see what's presented ?

People on here are in a predictable rush to ''pooh pooh'' the idea/project because the big bad RST are quoted. As i've said before too many punters on here are only interested in their own selfish agenda's not RFC.
  7. There is more mention on this Thread of FollowFollow.Com than our Founder William McBeath. Why is that ? I've highlighted this before. I've been working on the Founders project for the best part of 3 years and never once felt the need to make reference to any other website. Why is that ?
  8. Every point undeniable and each one a hurdle that the fans alone will never overcome. I agree with you, when someone comes up with an answer to these divisions we'll have something to work with. All the groups mentioned have just released a press statement on the way forward TOGETHER. In here http://www.thebluenose.co.uk/rangers-fans-...e-and-progress/ Very encouraging, unity is strength.

  10. I wonder if a protest was organised how many of Murray's henchmen would turn up again? That was disgusting, i was there to witness it. Bu to be honest not many turned up, their number was just short of the people who bothered to protest.
  11. Believe it or not, McLeish as fuck all to do with this, on paper he did better than O'Neil, Strachan and Walter's current team. The difference now, is it's not just a poor on-field team, but a disastrous series of events that is putting the whole club in jeopardy. SDM should have gone years ago, but the way he's tangling Rangers up in MIH made it such a difficult club to buy. Preaching to the converted, but the Club back then during McLeish's tenure saw us looking at debts almost treble of what we have now. I just don't see what has changed that will mobilise thousands into demanding change at our Club. Getting your views from internet hot air to the man on the street is a continual problem.
  12. Murray/McLeish took us through the worse run of results in our history, i'll repeat that, the worse run of results in our history. They marched us into a financial abyss where we currently lanquish. Meanwhile the vast majority of supporters and fans groups done nothing. What's the difference now ?
  13. Our wonderful story continued today when a Tour of the sites around Glasgow relating to our Founders were visited by Rangers Supporters by way of an open-top bus. We started at Fleshers Haugh and visited the shop once owned by H+P McNeil, the location of the building where William McBeath lived , the scene of our very first Scottish Cup Final, plus many others and finished at Peter McNeil's grave in Craigton. The Founders Committee continues to promote the good name of our Founders and many more ventures for the future are at discussion stage with various parties. I'll post detail of future events as they happen. Hope to welcome a few of you along very soon.
  14. Not a surprise really mate. I saw your post, which lasted all of two minutes. Least said about that crowd the better IMHO. When Bears get involved in things like we have, it brings my faith in the Rangers support and their love for the club. As for FF?........ Many initiatives relating to our Founders were and continue to be launched on follow follow. This really isn't a subject for point scoring now is it ? no its not but you can understand peoples frustrations as its been on here and folk(myself included) have donated would it be so bad for follow follow to have done the same We've had many projects relating to our Founders running on FF which required funding. The opinion of many on here was '' you won't find me over there''. How bizarre and childish is that, is this really one website v another ? Why don't punters put our Founders first for a change ? I would urge Bears not get involved in this childish nonsense. I do believe someone is on trying upset the applecart so to speak. This is about Rangers fans righting a wrong and as far as I can remember, no one apart from you is bringing up any rivalary. And that's the way it'll stay. If you want to donate, please feel free to do so. We won't hold grudges if you don't Only you had a swipe at FF, for reasons only you'll know. And some wonder why the Rangers support is fractured ? All of us can do better than that.
